6895 should be the last remaining black-back O7 OG at Stengel..

Last time i saw 6895, it was still blackblacked. Others were either decaled or whitebacked. Should catch it before she gets repainted, unless they did it in the pass few days/week.

There's actually two more black backs OGs in NYC. 6701 @ MHV and 6490 @ FP are still black backs

That bus missed its scheduled repaint long ago, same with 6701 and 6490 as mentioned. 6490 should have been repainted somewhere around 2008-2009, 6701 in 2010. If I were to guess, I'd bet it'll be a while until any of those buses get repainted, cause it generally seems that if the TA skips a bus once they don't get to it until the next cycle (7596 was never whitebacked in 2008 -- went from its 2003 blackback to 2012 decal scheme; same with 5543, 5575, etc.).

And since that time, 6615 has undergone a second repaint (and is now repainted completely the new way; the stripes have been removed from the doors). This is like when 7596 was the last black-backed O7 CNG (it was directly repainted the new way when it finally did get repainted).

Yes, but #6895 is the newest one. I suppose because of that, it will be the last.

Actually, #7596 had a fire back in the mid 2000s, so it was repainted as a Blackback.

Actually, even though it is OOS, #7672 is the last Blackbacked CNG.

Me too, but once the bus starts to age, the blackpaint starts to look dull.

I like the old scheme with the white back, but the new scheme with the front stripe also looks good. I just don't like the scheme with new front stripe and that big MTA logo.

You can still see some blackbacks at LGA and JFK, BP may have 1 or 2 that still hasn't gotten the new scheme.
