Calvin 2,020 #7 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) i rode the Q67 once on a saturday and the bus from Queens Plaza to Metro Av is completely dead (meaning 1-5 people on for just a short distance) Edited April 1, 2013 by Calvin
BM5 via Woodhaven 5,155 #8 Posted April 1, 2013 i rode the Q67 once on a saturday and the bus from Queens Plaza to Metro Av is completely dead (meaning 1-5 people on for just a short distance) Well that basically is the ridership for the most part. I saw 8 people on one point and I was literally that surprised an astonished at the fact that 8 people were on the Q67 on that given route. But then thats what happens when your run a route on weekends that is based off of industrial workers on weekdays, and a small percentage of commuters

BM5 via Woodhaven 5,155 #10 Posted April 2, 2013 (edited) also, tbh the Q67 on weekends is 95% of the time is Orion VII OGs and rarely NGs. no Orion 5 or RTS except on weekdays and this route connects with the Q39 as the 67 travels thorugh warehouses, junkyards and cemetarys via L.I Expressway but the 39 goes through alot of turns and makes alot of stops than the 67 I've been on more RTS' and NG's weekends then OG's.I think the reason for no bees on the weekends is because of the runs on weekends (2 runs) and so that one doesn't brake down ( it could happen, but unexpectedly), because then you'd have one bus every 2 hours instead of 1 hour, not something you'd want on the weekend Q67 ( the distances people usually take the Q67 are 30-40 minutes in walking or sometimes take up to 60-90 minutes). Also, the 67 makes more turns than the 39, but the 39 serves more residential areas that warrant bus service weekends than the Q67. Q39 ridership is about the same as the Q67 from Queens Plaza weekends. I don't know how Q39 ridership is beyond that point, because I haven't ridden the route on weekends because IMO, the Q67 is a more interesting and faster ride than the Q39. In glad the Q67 exists, because the Q67 is my fastest link home from middle village and western Queens, especially when there is track work on the QBL. MattTrain 3,099 #11 Posted April 3, 2013 I like your shots, but I'd be careful about posting bus operator's info over here. Great job!
