Broken switch caused problems all day on CPW lines

I had heard at W4 that the (B) was out, and wondered what would knock out only the (B). I later saw the advisory, and it said they were northbound going to Whitehall.

After 6:30 PM they all went to Whitehall. Before that every other (B) Train still went Uptown due to congestion at Whitehall Street.

What I want to know is what switch was exactly broken that caused this havoic...

They should have sent the (C) to Far Rockaway to cover the (A), make the (C) run only between Euclid and Far Rockaway, make the (A) local, and run the (D) on the (N).

The Rock Park (A) service is the next thing that gets cut after (B) service when there is trouble on that corridor. This is to increase the headways since there will be congestion problems if too many trains are on the road, and the (H) can pick up the slack for the showcases
