Around the Horn Posted March 15, 2016 Share #2 Posted March 15, 2016 This is essentially WMATA going on strike for a day to protest lack of funding which causes deferred maintenance which causes electrical fires.
BM5 via Woodhaven Posted March 15, 2016 Share #3 Posted March 15, 2016 It's gonna suck for many riders, especially given the limited amount of express bus/commuter service to/from Washington DC, which would not be able to withstand potential increase in ridership tomorrow. Commuter rail service is limited too, with the exception of MRC's Penn Line. It's gonna be really hectic tomorrow for many commuters.
Tokkemon Posted March 15, 2016 Share #4 Posted March 15, 2016 Lol. The MTA deals with this literally every day. They certainly don't throw a tantrum and close everything down. There's billions of dollars at stake up here, at least.
