MTR Admiralty Posted November 26, 2008 Share #4 Posted November 26, 2008 I rode on them once... the fare was like a quarter. Gave me a great tour of the island. Well, the residential/commercial part that is.

MTR Admiralty Posted November 27, 2008 Share #8 Posted November 27, 2008 There's nothing much on Roosevelt Island to be honest. I know... hospitals on either end and residential complexes in the centre. A few dozen of shops lined up on Main Street. A library. A subway stop. And you have the aerial tram ride. Do the residents have monthly passes for the red bus?

FamousNYLover Posted November 28, 2008 Share #10 Posted November 28, 2008 Excellent. I have taken about 5-6 times. I also remember when Tram was suspended on one weekday due to "filming of Fear Factor" reality game show", I remember Academy Bus was acting for Tram Shuttle Bus. After you-know-what incident on East River, tram shuttle bus was $2 I think.

FamousNYLover Posted November 29, 2008 Share #12 Posted November 29, 2008 Academy Bus acting for Tram (which was free) was on 2nd Av/59th-58th St while RIOC Bus share stop with Q60 to make U-turn onto Queensboro Bridge, then Academy Bus used 57th St entrance, then they both went west on Queens Blvd, left onto Northern Blvd, left onto 31st St, left onto 36th Av, onto RI Bridge. Manhathan-bound was same as above.

MTR Admiralty Posted November 30, 2008 Share #15 Posted November 30, 2008 Sweet red hot chili pepper bus! JK, but they do look like the food color! LOLz, ! Have fun eating the bus. Remember that adding mustard will bring down the carbon monoxide you would have consumed accidentally.
