No Flushing Express!

Recommended Posts

Posted on:3/2/2009 8:08:07 AM

Due to the inclement weather, there is no (7) express train service.

Thank god the <5><6> and (D) are ok, although sometimes the <5> would run local from 180th to 149th streets, as Ive seen it before on a snowyday, But bad for the Flushing people. Guess if you are between Main Street and 74th, you would take the IND:confused:

BTW does this mean that after 1PM the EB <7> to main street will also be canceled?

I could be wrong but unless the storm is over by 1pm, i think the Flushing express is cancelled for today.

If travelling from Manhattan, take the E/F to Roosevelt Av, then transfer to the 7. It's the best alternate!

As a tip, use the escalator. Walking (or running) up those stairs is not a fun thing to do in this kind of condition (the stairs will be slippery and wet)

Or just use the (1)(2)(3)(A)(C)(E)(N)(Q)(R)(W)(S) for Times Square-42nd Street, (:P(D)(F)(V) for 42nd Street-Bryant Park or (4)(5)(6)(S) and Metro-North Rail Road to 42nd Street-Grand Central!

I just hope it's back up for tomorrow. Even so, it looks like I'm gonna leave a little early to get to school.

This is off topic.

The 7 not able to run express service was due to weather patterns, not because of saving dough, per se.

ANYWAYS to get back on topic, the <7> seems back~!

Heres the Latest:

Posted on:3/2/2009 10:15:42 PM

Following an earlier incident, (N) train service has resumed with residual delays.

Also, due to signal problems at the 138th Street-Grand Concourse Station, Crown Heights-bound (4) trains are running with delays at this time.

To maintain rush hour Subway service, trains will be stored underground instead of in outdoor storage yards. As a result, the (A), (E), (D), (F), (N), (Q), (2), (5), (3) and (4) trains may run local on sections of their routes.

In addition, NYC Transit and MTA Bus restored Limited-Stop bus service in all five boroughs but may run with delays.
