This is true. A survey was conducted and it showed that suicide rates jumped due to the economy.

Keep in mind that there are many 12-9s that don't make headlines. I did hear that the weekly average is about 3. Thoughts are with the train crew that had to deal with this and be taken out of service because of someones stupidity/selfishness.

Could we have a thread somewhere created to keep track of these incidents? This way we could maybe see any trends or patterns, and it would be easier to express condolences etc. Put it in the general subway forum.

Not to sound to morbid, but a thread on 12-9s would be cool. It would be hard though to find trends or patterns with out police reports to know the couse (suicide, accident, drunk, etc). I guess it would be made a sticky thread.
