I get the point of the game, but you should've added a stipulation (like, during the AM rush only, PM rush only, weekends only, etc) to make the game a little more interesting....
Without running to the timetables & solely going off my own experiences, I still have to say the ....

IDK, What's faster from 34th st - Herald Sq. to Stillwell av, the or the ?
I believe the D is the fastest but I could be wrong lol

Regardless of the method of which the announcements are being made, what is being made safer exactly.....
The announcement is supposed to play while the bus makes a turn and sending out a alert to whatever pedestrian. The system was supposed to adjust in volume to the of the environment but it would seem the system is manually set.

This sums up my position on the matter; to me, they're a public nuisance.... Thank f*** they took them off the B12 when they did..... Idiots are going to do what they're going to do; no matter how many signs that are put up on the bus notifying people not to cross in front of the bus as they disembark, what do they do? Disembark the bus & cross right in front of it.....
The new 77/78xx came in with the speaker for the announcements so not exactly lol

What is the point of wrapping 40 footers with an SBS wrap if they're just going to replace them with 60 footers in the near future? Isn't that a waste of time?
Thats why they came pre prepped for the SBS. At the time they were looking to replace the RTS while also making the SBS have wifi/usb buses.

Is it me or is Tuskegee Airmen depot just bad at cleaning their buses. Every time I ride the Lexington Ave routes a majority of the buses are dirty inside and out and are banged up and or scratched in some way. Even the 2017 XD60s look more dirty compared to the ones at MQ, CS and even JFK and LGA.
That's a combination of banging into shit (cabs, fences etc) and the fact that they are no longer new lol

No what I meant is that there is currently no standard bus order taking place right now so it seems like the 2005 Orion VII’s that are being scrapped are extras at this point. I would imagine the recent order of XD40s and LFS’s allowed there to be a greater spare factor on top of the recent routes that went articulated.
Artics coming in, buses goto Quill and Flatbush. Buses are sent to the Bronx to then move XD60 to Grand and then those hybrids retire OGs in ENY.

What do you find so problematic with SI’s nova fleet?
A friend of mine complained about them being hard on the knees (not sure if other ops feel the same way).

I see the next Gleason line for an artic conversion. But, the screaming is unnecessary
The B67 doesn't have enough ridership for that to happen.

I don't live in NYC anymore, but that's somewhat beside the point -- the point being that data > anecdote or opinion. I also would humbly challenge the notion that the existence of a subway is a cure-all for transport woes. I daresay some lines are unreliable, and, in parts of the city without much political capital, are frequently subject to weekend/night shutdowns.
Re: Co-Op, there are a few answers I could imagine giving here. Answer the first is that I'm not willing to spend the big bucks to save people from transferring from MNR to the when total trip time under that scenario is likely shorter. Answer the second is that we should be considering investments in xfer facilities at Harold to allow people from the region's various commuter rail lines to shuffle their end terminals in Manhattan (@Union Tpke has a plan for this IINM). Answer the third is that the -- *provided some common sense reliability improvements* -- is already time-competitive with the BxM7 to E Midtown. All of these have the benefit of being true/viable, and likely a more generally beneficial use of the MTA's limited operating funding than shelling out the big bucks so a small fraction of Co-Op City residents can get a direct ride to Midtown.
A BXM7 ride from dreiser loop to Midtown becomes alot more time competitive when you consider the other buses in co-op suck dog meals. Not to mention the comfort offered is something I wouldn't want to trade vs a packed local bus ride.

Once they install the base, how long before it is a functioning OMNY turnstile ?
At complex stations, like Grand Central, Fulton Street, and Atlantic Av, do all turnstiles at those station complexes have OMNY, or just those nearest the Lexington Av subway ?
I wish the OMNY website would have progress list. If it wasn't for your posts, I would have no idea that any progress was made beyond last May.
I can personally confirm all the OMNY stations have the OMNY bases at every entrance.

Actually, it is the drivers’ fault. They have the willpower to challenge & question the unnecessary & outdated runtime by simply going faster, as the busways are intended to be used for. Yet they conform & cower, like cowards.
Someone doesn't have bills to pay I see....

Excellent catch! Every C40LF from West Farms and most from Jackie Gleason have on-board screens.
233-234, 236, 238-239, 241-242, 249, 256, 259-353, 355-357, 359, 362-366, 370-400, 403-404, 406-407, 409, 411-413, 415, 417, 422, 426-428, 430, 432-433, 437, 439, 441, 445, 456
456 does not have screens

I noticed something with the NYC Marathon ads for 2019. They got rid of the 30x240 ads that were famous for years and now have headliners only in the Manhattan Division while others have the regular standard billboards. The needs to invest in putting more headliners outside the Manhattan Division.
Manhattan has the most foot traffic

They didn't with MetroCard. Don't see why this would be any different.
Now if they'd just get a flipping move on...
They don't want a system that is buggy implemented quickly. Its better they work out the logistics first....

I wonder if the Q10 will be next in line for luggage racks on their XD-60s.
Don't know if its just me, but I have rarely seen people with luggage on the Q10. I've seen more airport workers on that bus then travelers.

Why can’t every bus just use Version 2? I’m not sure how that really works and who decides which screens go on which buses but Version 2 is the most easiest to understand (at least for myself).
It may be similar reason as to why they also have different destination signs on the buses.

So I have two questions.
1. Why does MQ’s XD40s have the Aesys signs compared to the rest of the 2018/19 XD40s?
2. I guess this is a very subjective question but I noticed over the years a lot of bus fans dislike the Orion VII NG’s. What about them causes them to be unfavorable? I actually consider them good buses and I favor them more compared to the Orion VII OG’s. I remember being so happy when I rode them for the first time on the Q17.
As for one, I believe 7572 also sports the sign which is in Jamaica. Not sure of the particular reason.
Some fans don't like the NGs for a myriad of reasons such as them being hybrids, them not like the model in general, or the fact they replaced older favorites (RTS, Orion V).

What buses will replace them? NGs? Novas? Xcelsiors?
Too early to tell. I'm betting on NGs that get displaced.

What are the best routes from KB or GH to see Nova LFS 40 footers on?
Those are what you see the most. You don't see the NG hybrids much anymore on those routes.

If you didn't even see a draft plan, how would you arrive at the conclusion that they are avoiding ENY? If anything there's a shit ton of stuff they will do in ENY.
