  1. They might of edited the program and forgot to check the transfer point section. They probably just edited without testing it before it go public. Maybe they forgot to click updated on the pc few time to make sure it save.
  2. i think it still possible because iirc they installed a switch track after carroll st during the culver viaduct project. it possible the switch was still there and never got removed. that why it said express from bergen st to church ave.
  3. Aqueduct-North Conduit Av this is real the name of the station. if you look at google maps, it said north conduit ave. maybe in past they forgot to add "av." on the station sign
  4. this article is related to incident that was mention earlier http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2013/10/21/item-that-shut-down-port-authority-subway-stop-turns-out-to-be-toy-lantern/
  5. anyone know what going on with thee Lex and 8th ave?
  6. nah it wont happen that way. the will go on it own6 ave. route between west 4 Street and roosevelt ave. the will be on it regular routes. if you read on fasttrak schedule board it going to be between broadway and jay street. this is where the can detour. The will probably end earlier to make room or will go express in manhattan between 59 street and chamber street. then local in brooklyn. who know we will see what on their mind.
  7. This remind me when the first Manhattan Bridge shut down .he on weekend at the time was in Manhattan on Sixth Ave go toward Essex Street then reverse itself to get to the Montague Street Tunnel.
  8. one thing i noticed it weird but i wont want to jinx the subway. all these years we hear fatality, train with mechanical problem, signal delay, derailment , broken rail condition, and congestion, but never here them had electrical problem such as missing power source between to two points. I can understand if Con edison didnt deliver power because of city black out but not electrical problem like they do on the rail. i dont know if this is possible because of the way it built in difference between the catenary wire and third rail. you think that strange?
  9. In December the first week (dec2 to 6) there no train from west 4 street to Jay street. this will be interesting
  10. yep you are right about that. no matter where you go all the trains are slow on those drawbridge. I live along the North Jersey Coast line they are slower when crossing the drawbridge. I think it started ever since or way back more when Amtrak hit the Portal bridge in Secacaus. This way the train wont be too much danger if the bridge didn't aligned right after it open.
  11. the one thing that is odd about the QBL fasttrak is the . If they said they are ending the service early, they didnt mention to take the to lower manhattan at all. i wonder how dumb will these commuter will be?(sorry, i am avid fan of Match Game from the 60's and 70's when they used " Dumb donald is so dumb?" then everybody shout out"how dumb is he?")
  12. I like to say i went to Yankee stadium on Sept 22, 2013. The commute from 33 Street to 161 Street was perfect commute. it took us about 30 minutes or less to reach the stadium. After the game is was nightmare to get home in hurry. We got downstair and the pulled in then few seconds later an announcement said "there a stalled train at 96 street and this train is staying here till further notice" According to GO the express was closed on CPW southbound. My friend and I waited few minutes and decided to go upstair to catch the . We waited till full capacity load. I believed we caught the Yankee Special. The terminal was Bowling Green. Anyway, we crawled all the way to 125 street. We stood outside 125 street for like 10 minutes because they kept playing the announcement "ladies and gentlemen we are being delayed because there train traffic ahead." I am getting sick of that announcement. After we pulled into 125 street, we was rocking and rolling to 59 street. Then again the train crawled and stayed in certain spot for 5 minutes. Then live conductor came on and said"this train is ending at 42 street due to server congestion south of 42 street." Meanwhile this train was supposed to go all the way down to Bowling Green. Everybody got to get off at 42 Street. I had to head toward Port Authority or Penn Station. After taking the shuttle, I couldnt find the hallway to Port Authority so i wind up on the train to 33 street. I got on my train in time to go home. After i got on the Nj side, I texted my friend to see if he was on SI ferry boat. Never heard from him till like 30 minutes later. I was like holy cow what the hell took him so long. I asked him to called me and he told me that most of the train kept turning around to go back uptown. I was like this (MTA)was really screw up. Now we knew there was some option to transfer 1-was 59 street to 2-was 42 street to shuttle then but we didnt know all this can happen this bad.

Too bad it not fastrack week. if it was then it would be chaos.

  19. the had gone to new lots ave after the 9-11 for few months after they had to clean up the damage at ground zero.
  20. it probably the yard that take the train to do turn around since no train can go to white plain road. according to mta.info train are running to nereid ave. so after nereid the train go to the yard and turn around to go back to Flatbush. wblock Veteran Member 1,318 posts Posted Yesterday, 03:38 AM I've never heard of 238 St Yard!!!!!! WHAT IS THAT?
  21. this is just a crazy idea that some of the foamer or real time asking for sea beach express to coney island. it also all depend on the Go during the summer. One train leave at 7 am , 8 am , and 9am from 205 Street express to Yankee Stadium. then 125 street express to 59 street then express to 6 ave- 42 street and 34 street then Grand Street then 59 Street then express to Coney Island. One train leave 715am , 815am and 915 am from 179 street to Parson Blvd then 71 Ave then Queens plaza then court sq then West 4 Street then Broadway Lafayette then Barclay Center then express on 4 th ave to Sea Beach Express to Coney Island One train leave Metropolitan Ave at 730am, 830am, and 930am then express to Myrtle wycoff Rd then Myrtle Ave then Marcy Ave then Delancey Essex Street then Fulton Street to Barclay Center then 36 Street then 59 street then express to Coney Island. One train leave at 745 am, 845 am, and 945 am from Astoria- Ditmars Blvd. express to Queensboro plaza then 57 Street 7 ave then Canal Street then Barclay Center then 36 street then 59 street then express to Coney island. Timing would be adjusted on to avoid the trains reaching to close to each other. Also it go for reverse using the Pm as it provide from the am time. You can see it stop at most express stop to pick up passengers from other line joining in or connecting from (a division) and stop most of neighborhood to Coney Island. too bad that the A division never go to Coney island. This is just a thought hoping one day it will be something like this. Also the other thing that suck in this is that no train can go to coney island from East New York.
  22. bad wiring? corroison without noticed?
  23. Service Change Posted: 06/25/2013 7:24AM Due to mechanical problems at 36 St, southbound and trains via local from Atlantic Av-Barclays Center to 36 St. Allow additional travel time. Delays Posted: 06/25/2013 6:51AM Due to mechanical problems on Manhattan Bridge, southbound and trains are delayed. Allow additional travel time. sound like the train got stuck over the switch track. also i was thinking this in my head that i think manhattan and williamsburg bridge should get a switch tracks to help get train around the stuck train. i would put a switch on both end and maybe two over the tower support if they allow that.
  24. Yesterday’s Derailment and Evacuation The train that derailed yesterday was the 5:51 p.m. departure for Hempstead, which had departed from Track 14. It was a 10-car train carrying as many as 800 people, but only the middle two cars derailed. Passengers in the rear four cars evacuated by safely stepping down to the tracks in the presence of LIRR personnel and first responders, and then walking back to the platform at Penn Station. Passengers in the front six cars evacuated with the help of an NJ Transit train that pulled up to the front end of the train. Passengers walked single-file into the NJ Transit train, which then pulled eastward and made a reverse move back to Penn Station. way to go to NJTransit for lending a hand. this is from mta.info also just want to say the NJCL jersey shore express is back and bad(the good way). i was waiting for train at middletown heading toward red bank and that express really fly on by and leave the dust in your face. it was like going 60 mph passing thru the station while passengers was waiting for the local train. . also for those who like to cross the track while gates is down WATCH OUT!!!
