Is it true that Coach USA will be taking over all of the Hudson County Routes currently served by Academy? (2, 10, 22, 22X, 23, 88, 119)

    and if so, when?

If you see Coach USA buses doing test runs on the those routes, it's a given. They take those routes starting next month, whenever it is. So say goodbye to No. 22 Hillside Corp, which is a fall for them on local routes

When these shifts gonna take affect? And no wonder why I got a comment on my FB post saying "Soon to be Coach USA"

I believe they were from Red & Tan and then became academy in 2012 when they threaten to eliminate the route. This is Route 10 before: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:NJT1539.jpg

Come some time next month, ONE Bus will take over the routes. For now, Academy still have them.

Word..There's no way in hell Coach Usa or Acadamy Would be able to handle those routes...Not even metioning other heavy rts like 21,25,27,34,62,70...Like u said oh brother

Agree with this sentiment. They (Coach USA) have trouble keeping schedule with the 24 and 31 routes they have...

Coach Usa...Oh no in a few years some of these route gonna be discoutinued from low ridership....Lol

And the fact that Coach USA also bid for the #2, and #88 routes in Jersey City don't be surprised if those routes go away, if and when, they assume to take control over those two routes.

To clarify: I saw that they bid for those 2 routes, but if I'm wrong about it, then disregard. Might've been a rumor, idk.

They must have sent it back, but it was a swap because they lost 5201.

19145 has been put on the fleet sheet at EHT. EHT is short on mcis, we never get enough buses, nabis have been showing back up on the 553 again. 8271 has been retired with no replacement, 8021 was retired with no replacement. 7184 and 7186 was suppose to stay another 3 years but they retired them with no replacement. Meadowlands doesn’t even want to give up any extra buses. 7422 is at cmf possibly pending retirement with no replacement in sight. These 18000s are crapping. Newton av uses the least amount of mcis and yet they almost got as much as we do. 19145 is staying for the the time being.

Would the non lav ex-Saddle River MCIs help out south?

     here's the answer

What is the importance of burn in testing?

Burn-in tests allow detecting problem trends so as to prevent usage of reliability-critical components. Burn-in is the backbone of parts screening, the major vehicle to eliminate defective parts at the early phase of the product life and to ensure product reliability.

    Preventative maintenance, in a nutshell

Update: Ex-Saddle River Tours 18118 is ready for service out of Meadowlands garage. It's been inspected and registered (OYB6753).

NJT still hasn't decided what to do with 17063-17070. I can understand wanting to get the two restroom units ready to go, however, as they're probably itching to get rid of those 7100 series buses. NJT does have 30 more restroom buses coming as per the contract specs.

So the question would be, who would be getting the rest of the ex Saddle River MCIs?
