  1. On the bright side, at least our temperatures aren't 115 degrees like it is in the Midwest right now
  2. I don't think the Q42 should go to QV LIRR ESPECIALLY if its going along Murdock, where the already Q83 goes. Q83s are always packed during the rush hours, BUT I don't think that your Q42 would take passengers off the Q83 because it isn't direct as it goes through Addisleigh Park to serve those passengers. I don't think ppl would take the route past Addisleigh Park, tbh...
  3. The Douglaston idea would make the Q64 pretty long wouldn't it? I definetly think that the Q64 should be extended through Fresh Meadows but idk about Douglaston. The thing is, I don't think that the Q88 should be extended to Middle Village, but if it was, short turns could be done at QCM or 73rd/188th, i think that would work (if it ever was to be extended to middle vill)...
  4. I really hope he doesn't say HHE/College Point Blvd (basically mirroring the Q58)... I would extend the Q38 to 108th if possible to provide a connection but Idk its necessary... Heres what I would do: Q88 - stays the way it is (I know ppl who actually ride the whole route or get on at Springfield & go to Queens College) Q64 - extend to 73rd & Springfield ; Idk if it would be bad to send some trips to QCC to supplement Q27 service but I'm not gonna mess w/that...
  5. Smh.. you definetly should report this driver cuz that isn't fair. Its not fair for ppl (like yourself) to pay their fare as you are supposed to, but then others to just get a free ride.. I don't know where ppl's mindsets are these days... and I bet that these ppl (those who don't pay) will complain as soon as the fare goes up too -__-
  6. Well that's something new.... Smh at the B/O, very unprofessional and disappointing... Its a shame to see ppl who actually work for the MTA doing this, you would think that they wouldn't do something like this considering the MTA's current financial situation.. very sad and surprising....
  7. My earring broke.. Oh joy -___-

  8. Weighing averages for AP/Honors classes is the norm in every high school (I think).. I go to Catholic school and my averages are weighted, like I take Honors Geometry, and I got an 82, but it goes on my transcript as an 86. Same for History (got a 93; goes in as a 97), Science (got a 90; goes in as a 93) and English (got an 88; goes in as a 91). Its not spoiled or anything, it basically congratulates us for doing extra work and stuff. You could easily get a 95 or 100 in a regular class, but getting a 90 or 95 in an HONORS class, is more rewarding, well IMO. Idk bout AP classes as I'm only going to be a junior and I'm only taking AP Psychology, but I'm sure its the same thing...
  9. Oh, they weigh it more in your school. In my school I think its three extra points or something like that.... I wish I could get a 94/95 in english and science lol
  10. RIP Student Metrocard, we had good times and you took me to many new places, gave me good memories and allowed me to ride new bus routes. You will be missed! Until September that is ;)

  11. Good job Bro ! But how did you get a 103 average? Lol I didn't know that was possible
  12. @Q23 : Yes indeed, most ppl that go to Flushing probably wouldn't even ride it either. Tbh, the Q38 should be left alone otherwise adding service and fixing delays. After reading and reanalyzing your Q88 idea tho, it doesn't seem so bad, and I wouldn't be against it, its just that I don't think that the Q38 needs to be eliminated or rerouted. @Checkmate : I was agreeing with the directness in your plan and just giving some examples. The thing about this route is, that nobody rides the whole route. ppl get off at intermediate points along the route (as I have seen and been told) and if you think about it, it is common sense no one is gonna take the whole route when they can walk. It serves its purpose as a sort of "loop" route...Idk about giving residents access to more places, the Q38 connects with quite a few bus routes and the trains and it doesn't take fairly long either, but I see where you are coming from..
  13. Lesson of the day: Be proud of who you are and where you have come from. :D

  14. I guess, but thats pretty redundant. I see why you said Q58 as that basically IS the Q58 route lol.
  15. Either one could work in that case, the Eliot Branch actually would be easier as those buses just go straight down Fresh Pond to Myrtle then follow the B20 route, and for the 63rd Drive branch, it would just take Metro Av to fresh pond, then myrtle then B20, but I don't think that any route like that should exist, based on ridership habits and practicality. Tbh, the ideal situation would be to just give the Q38 more service, BUT that wont fix the delays on the side streets in Juniper Valley that delay the route, unless there is a strict traffic monitoring in that area to prevent it. Thats the best bet. I see what you are saying, I can't believe that he would make the Q38 go to Flushing lol. Idk how he would route that one.
  16. To flushing????????????? are you serious? lol
  17. I agree w/the fact that something needs to serve the near LeFrak part of the Q38. I have been told that Q38 comes late and gets delayed on those side streets in Juniper Valley (They are very narrow, so say if there was a double parked car or a garbage truck, the bus would have a hard time going around it), so the Q52 or even the Q21 would give those riders a quicker route. And the Q58 is a walk from LeFrak and is packed, thats why I am against trying to shift ridership to it.... I think that the Q52 wouldn't be bad, but the Q21 could be used as like another option. The less buses terminating next to QCM the better tbh
  18. That's actually a good video. Its very informative, and I don't think that many ppl realize that racism like this actually still occur today. Its a shame really, smh ... I'm glad that some ppl actually defended the woman, that's awesome and it really is the morally right thing to do and its sad how some ppl didn't do anything (example of the bystander effect).
  19. Corona-bound indeed, but Rockaways-bound is different. I meant Rockaways bound before
  20. That idea doesn't seem to bad, but wouldn't it have to go through Hoffman Dr anyways if it did? Reading the google maps thing, it seems that it would
  21. I believe you mean Oakland Gardens, correct? That's not Springfield Gardens, I know because I live in Springfield Gardens. Springfield Gardens is where the 77 goes, not to where your "Q88" goes. And as Threxx said, there are elderly ppl that live in that particular area, why take a bus from them that close to them and making them walk when they are weak, at least you are providing an alternative, but still... Also the transfer may make them spend more for the fare, if they are coming from the subway. They would have to do train -> Q88 -> Q72 -> Q58, for example, which is an extra 2.25$ the rider is paying as opposed to just doing train then Q38
  22. I don't see the point of extending the Q88 down the Q38 route, it just makes the route really long. If anything, why don't you have the Q38 go from Otis Ave to Fresh Pond (basically half of its current route)? and then have the Q67 take the other part (to Forest Hills). Just a thought. Btw, taking the Q38 away from 57th Avenue, eliminates one of two or three (if you include the Q88) buses that serve LeFrak City, and I know ppl who frequent Q38s and tell me that a lot of ppl that live in LeFrak actually use the Q38.
