  1. I agree. w/Checkmate. The Q36 and Q43 don't run ANY local buses when LTDs are running, so basically east of F Lewis, the Q1 is the "local" for Hillside. Also, the Q76 and Q77 aren't very frequent, so the Q1 tends to be used quite a bit (as it is more frequent). The Q43 is always packed, even at 1pm (I took the Q77 today to 179th to check out some buses before going to the city). The Q36 only really gets packed during rush hours, but still the Q1 does its job as a supplement, it even gets packed itself during rush hours.. If the Q26 was extended to QV/Bellerose, I don't think many would utilize it, ppl in that area want service to Jamaica mostly and can use the Q27 if they want service to Flushing, if you think about it... That idea would just increase crowding on the Q36 and Q43, as ppl will go to Hillside or Jamaica Avs to catch a bus to Jamaica and I know that isn't gonna be a good situation....
  2. That intersection actually is pretty dangerous.. The buses aren't really bad, just have to watch out when they are turning, but there are always cabs speeding down 5th Ave, I almost got hit by one a few months ago I've seen a few near misses as well

  4. Thanks for the advice and insight, bro... I agree, there seems to be no more "love" in relationships, everyone just seems to want to get something out of it, smh. Its sad and shameful. Never will I let a woman be the leader in a relationship, not happening, I have to be in control or its uncomfortable, and now I see why ppl date older ppl, but it doesn't seem to work well...
  5. Its cool to see someone else here on the forum who is into clothes like me .. Lol
  6. Yes they should! SoHo has to be like the best place to shop in NY, its has so many shops and most of them has soHo as their only location in the city (Stussy, for example)
  7. That is? That explains it. But there have been occasions that I have seen 5 or 6 14D's before a 14A even comes lol
  8. The kids here in Springfield Gardens are the same, all I see is "Hollister", its irritating, like they don't shop anywhere else? Lmao I wear Hollister on bummy days but the shirts don't say "Hollister" all over it, it just has the seagull lol, but american eagle is better, not all of its shirts have the name all over it.. And those ppl who wear Hollister odee thinking that they have "swag" are just trying to fit in and look cool, which I don't like, but we can't blame them, everybody wants to fit in *shrug*... Let them look stupid, I guess lol....
  9. I think that is just what most of us teens wear today in general lol whether we go to public school (like you) or catholic school (like me ; i go to St. John's Prep)
  10. American Eagle (mostly shorts, jeans and polos; my third fav store), Hollister (I only own a few shirts from there), H&M, Stussy (my 2nd fav store) , Billionaire Boys Club, Urban Outfitters (my favorite store) , Nike, Jordan, Burberry & Gucci (certain ppl wear that), Bape, Nautica, Obey, Armani Exchange, Express, Zumiez and Polo. For glasses, Ray-bans (I have a pair), Pradas and Armani Exchange
  11. 2nd lesson of the day: Don't be afraid to be you, don't let what others say bring you down. I wouldn't be as strong a person as I am today if I didn't follow this.

I am always bullied by guys in my class who think my transit interest is weird, I punked one guy by saying I am a proud member of a site with 6000+ dedicated transit fanatics.

      @B35 - thanks bro and i agree

@Brightonkid - I was the same way in elementary school, its because you are different, but thats a good thing. They are just jealous of your intelligence trust me lol :)

  12. Lmao, its not amazing. ppl joke w/each other for fun, but they can be hurtful. There is occasionally drama. but its between girls lol. The guys are into sneakers (-___-), sports (typical), hiphop music (like me) and clothes (like me again). They joke around, but on dress down days (I go to catholic school, so there is uniforms) if you are wearing something fake or a brand that they think is cheap (USPA, Aeropostale, New Balance, Old Navy, etc.) they will tease you. If you are seen as unique, then you will stand out & make friends w/everybody... I am one of those ppl as I do share interests w/everyone (clothes, music, etc.), but I have interests that no one else has (my transit obsession) and I'm nice and funny. Funny ppl go far in my school Other than that, its a typical catholic high school, I like it lol....
  13. Its a mixture of both. Traffic on 14th is terrible and it is a very crowded area as well. They run good on the avenues except the 14A gets stuck in traffic sometimes on Essex between Delancey & Houston due to drives turning on to the Williamsburg Bridge.. LES-bound buses aren't even packed until Union Square.. The scheduling is part of it too, 14D's are real frequent (I have never waited more than 8 minutes for one ever in my 10 years of riding that line) but the traffic bunches them all together. I have always wondered why 14D's get packed while 14A's have barely any passengers btw, but its just like Cait said, the area that the A runs in has more options, while the D is by itself... The 14A/D was just a headache tho, glad I don't have to take them anymore...
  14. Lesson of the day: Giving advice is one thing, but actually following it is another...

  15. Its a peer pressure type of thing, ppl feel pressured into dating, as it is seen as "cool".. or they do because everybody else does it. Ppl also become jealous of others in relationships so they want one themselves, or they get in one just to say that they are in one nd brag about it & post pics of it on facebook . Some ppl date simply not to be made fun of. Boys in my school get joked around on if they haven't dated anyone, which is sad... Personally, I am well-known in school & friends w/everybody and somewhat as the joker/anyone's best friend (there is NO such thing as popular in my school) and it isn't because of having many relationships (which I tell only my closest friends about, as it is no one else's business) or playing sports (I don't play ANY sports, im like the only guy who doesn't), its because of my personality, ppl who see someone that has dated a lot of ppl as "popular" are very superficial.... But point is, its things like these that cause failed relationships b/c relationships are being formed for the WRONG reasons....
  16. When it comes to females, I HATE feminists with a passion. They make it seem like all guys are jerks because one broke their heart, and they reject all the nice ones or put them in the "friend zone" (which I have been put in a lot of times). But there ARE bad guys out there, these type of guys don't have ANY respect for women and are just looking for a hookup instead of love, many girls blindly fall for these type of guys. The term "there are always some for ruin it for the rest" fits perfectly in this case.. Its exactly the same for teenagers, as we are going through puberty and severe mood/hormone changes. Everyone seems to focus on looks and not personalty (many guys/girls that are average or not-so-good looking that have amazing personalities have been rejected while good looking girls/guys have been accepted but have crap personality) then there is rejection, and many aren't even ready to date as they are very immature, which is why I don't agree w/most teen dating scenarios.... The whole topic of dating and relationships is very hard and complicated in general, no matter what age you are....
  17. I got a 95 on my Earth Science regents and an 83 on my geometry regents, and to think that those were the two regents I was scared for the most -__-
  18. Lesson of the day: Don't focus on the negatives because they will bring you down, focus on the positives as they will bring you up :)

I'd rather focus on the negatives & shoot them down so the positives play themselves out !

  20. And when there is a plan like that, the made-up route runs along other routes or it runs on streets that don't have bus service with the intent of coverage and/or giving that particular street service when it doesn't even need it in the first place...
  21. I didn't know that and I didn't know how much traffic Liberty gets... It sounds like 14th Street (a lot of traffic) in a way... I used to walk from Union Square to 1st Avenue to board the M14D as there is a lot of traffic between 1st Avenue and Union Square and walking often was quicker than the bus in that stretch... (There is always a large crowd boarding at Union Square as well, making the bus take even longer...)
  22. I've seen long lines for the Q112 and packed Q112s a few times around Jamaica Center... And the LTD may be able to help the Q60 but the traffic along Queens Blvd is a huge problem... And I've also noticed that most of the time somebody makes a new route plan, its either a LTD or SBS... LTD and SBS aren't practical or ideal in every situation (which is why most routes DON'T have either)... I guess its a "new thing, I wanna try it" type of situation....
  23. I see where you're coming from.. That's kind of weird for the passengers to do that don't you think? I mean they should know its a LTD bus They probably weren't reading signs or looking at the bus to make sure..
