  1. There's no need for another bus route from Jamaica to Broadway Junction. The Q24, Q56, J and Z lines already goes there.
  2. Why give Liberty Avenue limited stop service when you could just give the Q24 a limited variant?
  3. Don't forget Old Country Road. It usually gets packed around holiday season.
  4. NICE already has an easy connection to Flushing. Its called take the N1, 6, 22, and 24 to the 165th Street Terminal and transfer for the Q17.
  5. They seemed to have learned through trail and error that having the n27 terminating at Roslyn was a bad idea. I still wish they made the 78/79 terminate at Roosevelt Field instead of Hicksville.
  6. What are the pros and cons of having the N8 terminate at Hempstead Terminal?
  7. As someone already pointed out, the N4 used to terminate near the 165th Terminal until the Archer Avenue line opened in 1988. I merely suggested that the N6, or the N22 should be extended to Parsons Archer to give people going to Nassau an alternative to the N4. As for Parsons Archer itself, it wasn't supposed to be a hub. I heard it was supposed to go deeper into Queens.
  8. Why is the N4 the only NICE route that terminates at Parsons Archer?
  9. People who live in Southeast Queens want fast and direct service to the nearest transit hub, which happens to be Jamaica. If they want a bus to Flushing, then they go to Jamaica and transfer to a route that goes to Flushing. Eliminating the Q77 and replacing it with Q26 won't work. That will cause bunching on the Q85, Q5, and probably the Q4.
  10. The Q85 is owned by the MTA, not NICE.
  11. It won't work. There's no demand for service along Springfield past I.S. 231 and people who live on 147th already have the Q111/113.
  12. The Q85 needs more service. People who live around the 243 Street area of Rosedale, near the Coundits, and in Rochdale take the 85 because they don't want to walk all the way to Merrick Blvd to take the Q5. I'm surprised at how infrequent service along the Q85 is. I thought the 85 was the fast one, and the 111 was the slow one.
  13. There's no demand or reason for the B45 to go to Vanderbilt. The B45 was made to avoid Vanderbilt for a reason.
  14. You tried to send the B45 to Vanderbilt Avenue via Sterling and Plaza to make room for your new B50 route.
  15. That explains why it terminates in front of I.S. 231.
  16. Yeah, Prospect Heights residents might get angry if you send the B45 down Sterling Place and around Plaza Street. Sending the B45 further down Sterling will only make parking around that area worse. As for Plaza Street, there's no demand for bus service along at road, and having the B45 go around Grand Army Plaza to go back to St. Johns feels unnecessary.
  17. Here's a thought: give the Q7 a Rochdale Village Branch that terminates at Farmers and 137th Avenue instead of sending it all the way too Green Acres.
  18. Do Dollar Vans still run on Merrick and Brewer Blvd?
  19. Sterling Place is a one way street and St. Johns ends at Plaza Street East because of Grand Army Plaza.
  20. Why do people see the Q111 as a local variant of the Q113? I see the Q111 as a route to Jamaica for people who don't live close the the Q85.
  21. How will the B45 go to and from Vanderbilt Avenue?
  22. It does answer my question. It all goes back to what I said about dollar vans earlier: Dollar vans run parallel to certain routes because they know people want a fast and reliable rides from Point A to Point B.
