Aren't the flipdot units stripped already, rendering this question moot?

6227 (MQ) has a Chase Visa driver side wrap on the front segment of the bus. First time seeing this on an Xcelsior.
Just saw one on 6164 on the M15 as well.
I imagine that the XD40s and LFS hybrids will get them as well as Orion’s continue to be phased out.

That mockup doesn't actually have door pockets so I wouldn't be surprised if they originally wanted to make the windows that large and then as they made the blueprints for the actual cars, realized they screwed up the calculations.

service in Manhattan is a mess today. 20 minute waits and no rerouting of the via Lex Local to cover the gaps in service.
Do they not have enough cars to run the or something?
But they were running trains on the local... I happened to get one at Spring, and then later got another one at 23rd!
I think the issue is that crews are calling out so they don't have enough manpower to run the full schedule.

On another note, all this flooding after the MTA supposedly "made improvements" after Sandy... SMH. Lessons have not been learned.
Back to square one I guess?
Note that the flooding occurred in areas of the system that weren't updated after Sandy. The resiliency projects worked.

Why not just give the routes to DeCamp or Private Transportation? clearly has no interest in running the lines.
I would argue that an option on the newest coach bus order specifically for the takeover of these routes should be considered interest enough. This "disagreement" between the MTA and EDC, as I understand it, is mostly about the fine print in the changeover process than anything else.

“8704” is a mistracking 4862. Just seen it on the B64.

u might be correct. Just did a bit of research on 8704.. For the last 4 hours, it's showing that it's on the B6... Rather confusing if u ask me. But the travel time from Mariners Harbor to Bay Ridge is roughly 45 mins to 1 hour (Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this. Staten Island ops please), but from Bay Ridge to Canarsie is a good 90 mins, but it's showing it deadheaded to 86th and Bay Pkwy. So, from this I think it is a glitch and bus is still in Staten Island.
While improbable, it is not impossible that the bus actually could have gone from Yukon to Ulmer Park via the Belt and then entered B6 service... RTSes have done the reverse from UP to Yukon as recently as 2014/15 IINM.
We’ll have to see what route it shows up on in the morning. If it is actually there, I’d love to see it on the B64.

Reinstating the B23 is gonna be a hard sell. The MTA feels that the B8 should be able to handle the work. Truthfully, if they can implement the B90 series they can sure find a way to reinstate some of these routes in the re-design plan.
I could see the B23 coming back as the 13th/14th Avenues bus with the B16 staying on Fort Hamilton Parkway the full length. Would be nice if it went all the way down to the VA Hospital or even Bay Ridge.

Also, aren't these cars suppose to go throughout the entire B-Divison for clearance testing before testing other stuff?
They are training the crews that will operate the tests.

I really dont get how the interior seating is an "improvement". It's a step backwards with less seating.
There are more designated priority seats and more room for people in wheelchairs to move around compared to previous cars.

Did they split up the R211 set with one staying at CI and the other going to Pitkin?
No the other set made the move tonight.

The R211 reportedly has a propulsion problem and that was why it was moved.
