  1. If you saw the video of the two kids from Boston who went on a trip on NJT from the southernmost point (Cape May) to the northernmost (Warwick, NY) making all local stops. It took them a better part of 25 hours. One day a friend of mine calls me and says “hey, don’t you have Run 19?” I said yeah, why? He said “Well, you missed your chance to be on YouTube”. They rode the 197 at Willowbrook from their connection from Newark (I think it was the 11) to Warwick. I missed this day being down to Covid. It made me even sicker and mad knowing I could’ve been part of the fun 🤦‍♂️
  2. Yep. I was thinking 9 times out of 10 when ever it rains really hard, the electrical systems start going haywire. Not the case here. Thankfully I got out of the tunnel and into the right lane. Former co worker at my former employer said he had the same problem couple weeks back and told me to check the back. Belts were gone
  3. Bus decided to take a massive dump on me after I got out of the tunnel on my last trip last night. Managed to make it to the right lane on the first turn of the helix, then limped up the hill before the bus said “no mas” after Weehawken exit. People got transferred and I spent the next 3 hours waiting for a replacement while getting towed up to Kennedy
  4. Maybe there’ll be 10 car trains? 🤷🏽‍♂️
  5. I recently took a ride out of Grand Central (Don’t call me) Madison on the LIRR to Jamaica and I wish I could’ve had the benefit of a RFW to see the path of travel. Think I lost five pounds from the walk alone through the station 😁
  6. The 165 would like a word with you (hashtag alphabet soup) 😁
  7. At the very southern end, the 76 (Newark-Hackensack) runs from Route 3 through Lyndhurst (via Ridge Rd). Edit: Also from Route 3 to Ridge Road, the 191, 192, 195, 199
  8. As if we didn’t need any more heat on us already 🤦‍♂️
  9. I’m hearing we’re supposed to get some of them which would make me laugh if I have to use one on the 197 up to Warwick
  10. Yeah time to get off my lazy butt and learn new routes...
  11. I remember in my Lakeland days doing the afternoon downtown trip, I visited a nearby NJT NABI on the 120 and they were experimenting with a credit card tap machine. Which obviously nothing came of it after that.
  12. Speaking of breaking 20s on short trips, it’s gotten to where I have to carry 10s with me as part of my cash fare because I can almost expect it to happen. Makes my life easier. I always carry cash on me when I need it. On my graduation day, I took the train from where I live (along the Boonton Line) to Newark. By Montclair I got a bit too comfortable and dozed off. When I woke up, we left Newark Broad Street and I thought of myself screwed. When I got to Hoboken, I tried to find an alternate way back to get to Ferry St. There were no trains going back the other direction, so with the $50 in my pocket, I got a cab to take me back to the training facility in time. Was a pretty big bullet to bite, but I got the job done.
  13. So why did I see employment ads for NJ Transit on the back of Coach USA NABIs? False advertising much 🤔
  14. Looking at the NJT app and seeing most trips cancelled due to “operator unavailablity” got me thinking, “We still down bad like that?”
  15. I got asked to do the 320. I just need to see a couple of turns just to be sure I got the whole thing down
