It actually went under a new name, Matador Tours, and I’ve seen some buses recently in Saddle River graphics, (MCI J4500s and some D4505s). They’re based out of the Carlstadt/Moonachie area
January, the MCI routes from Market Street are coming to Wayne. I look to be dropped a few spots down. Should be interesting to see how everything plays out. Maybe I get to learn some of Market’s routes 🤷🏽♂️
I remember couple weeks back riding the SIM 33C (Combination, ha) into Manhattan one evening and seeing a 5 car R160 heading up to Smith-9 Sts and thinking hm, so that finally came full circle
So I found out the detour of the 192/199 through Nutley will go longer due to the contract construction company going bankrupt and poor construction of the Kingsland Road Bridge (it was supposed to be finished in July after a year). Word is they’ll have to tear down and start all over
He’s the consummate extra board guy. I thought I wouldn’t have that experience to do another line until beginning of last pick when I was asked to do the 126. I should stop my 7 day work blitz and take a 319 trip just to see how to do it.
So I got a little nosey and checked out the bridge closure that closed Kingsland St in Nutley (Clifton Commons) and detoured the 13 and the 192/199. Bridge still has a lot of work that needs to be done along with some concrete pipes laying around. Took a drive around to see if buses could’ve used the Commons as a detour only to find out that the Main Ave exit is a one way opposite Kingsland and there is a weight limit off said bridge. Apparently the travel gods knew I was coming and decided to have an overturned truck on the Main Ave exit ramp off Route 3 East 😮. So I guess the bridge closure will extend into September when completion was scheduled for July
