  1. On the slip just write OTO largely on it preferably in the time stamp area
  2. Maybe I missed it, but any idea where the L shuttle will be mainly be coming out of? Garages?
  3. It CAN in fact go down as an accident. IF, you struck an object such as the sidewalk causing the rim to bend and then in turn causing the air to leak out. So yeah depending on the circumstances, it can be considered an accident.
  4. Them routes majority of the ridership are elderly. They need to get an alternative to the RTS
  5. When do you guys suppose that the b35 will be changed to articulate ?
  6. Agreed, also it's very hard to see someone running for the bus in those mirrors. If a person is out of view, we will assume that everyone has boarded and we will leave the stop. (In this case, the operator may have assumed that there weren't many people waiting to board, being that a previous bus has just left the location) We also have strict instructions to leave the stop if passengers are not ready to board with their SBS tickets. Many operators are courteous enough to hold the bus. However, we actually have instructions to leave. To keep the SBS service as rapid as possible. Just some insight i thought I'd share Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  7. This move is gonna shake up a few things in the city. MQ may have to send some Orions over to 100st. Im not sure how many buses the 31 will require.. we all know the RTS will not be sent over there most likely. MQ has trips that deadhead up to 92nd St. So im sure TU will have deadhead trips to 54th St. Relief points will have to be changed up on both routes for convenience reasoning. Lots of bus moves by year end I'm sure. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  8. Most likey if you boarded at the rear, the operator doesn't have control of the sensors. It will close, and re open if it senses someone there, and keeps trying to close... Nonetheless, he could've been more polite. Also he may switch over to Quill when the bid happens. Just to chase the route. (If he likes it that much) Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  9. Hudson pier was on West side hwy and 15th st. Quill is on West side and 40th St. Hudson pier building is still standing, but seems like there is construction going on. And I was the poster who was hearing whispers about the 86 being sent to MQ. I'll tell ya this, lots of operator's are going to Flee TU this winter bid.
  10. So MQ isn't gonna be getting those artics after after the M shuttle is over after all? Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  11. If you saw it on Atlantic and not in service, it could be a DHD from SC on the 103. Observed one with SC decal a few days ago on Atlantic and Hoyt. NIS to Cad Plaza. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  12. SBS 14 after the L train comes back up, should become SBS 14D because the volume of people is plentiful. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  13. Haha I know. But that was in reference to M7 being out of Hale not OH. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  14. The 31 not being artic has nothing to do with it. When the new year begins, they may send hybrids back over to TU And take some of the sbs Novas from TU in exchange. I've been hearing this the last few months and even from the superiors that it may happen. Again, don't hold any breath. There are currently 32 runs on the sbs86 and 34 on the M31 As far as employees, it should be almost an even trade. Buses? That's a different scenario and might be more complicated with storage and placement of the Novas. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  15. Word in the depot is that the SBS 86 will be moved to quill in exchange for the M31. Let's see if it plays out Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  16. ???????? Queens greedy. They are the only borough with 2 divisions. But seriously the only thing that goes through Queens is the BM5. Guess it's a numbers game Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  17. If an operator is observed opening the door after leaving the stop by an undercover rider, he can be disciplined. It's not a joke. And it's an official rule. As far as the operator not curbing the bus, there's many factors that are just reasoning for why the bus isn't all the way to the curb. Obstructed stops, double parked vehicles , a lot of times, the BO HAS to double park so that the rear of the bus isn't in the intersection, if there's another vehicle in the stop taking up space. People think BOs are jerks. But most of the time, they are covering their tails. And some of the time, they are jerks. Hope this gives some insight. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
  18. The m14D NEEDS SBS service. That's where most of the ridership on the 14 comes from. The lower East side residents along Ave D
  19. So after the XDs are taken from quill then what would happen?
  20. If you mean the D shuttle in Lower Manhattan, only the Manhattan division depots were out there
  21. It would've been nice if before retirement they would be used as a part of shuttle service when the L goes down. Lord knows you can get about 100 people per artic.
