  1. Since it's been like a year since I join this site, I should've post this long time ago. I made a video of an R46 train crossing Broad Channel during the sunset in 2013. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFxkkpPicS8
  2. I saw an Ex-foothill bus with the "Training Bus" sign in Far Rockaway days ago but I forgot what number was it.
  3. Last year November, I walked down the platform at Main St, saw a Not in Service R188 with lights off on the left platform and I saw an R62 in the middle almost crowded, ready to leave, so I got on. I then saw an R188 pulling in and I was going to get off and take it. But I didn't take it because I would look like a fool for getting off the train when the train had room for more people. So days later, I manage to catch the R188 a few times. Just the other day, I went to Jamaica Center on the platform to catch the R143 that everyone was talking about. No trains were there, so I waited for something to come and it happens to be a R32. I didn't wait for the next one to come because 50/50 change that another R32 or R42 would come. When I took the R32, I saw few Jamaica-bound trains passing by and most of them were R32's and R42's. My train was turning on the curve and I couldn't tell if that was an R143 or R160 that was passing by on the same curve.
  4. Last weekend during the Cranberry Tube work, me and my friend had plan to go to the movies in Manhattan to see Fantastic Four @ Regal Cinemas @ Union Square that started at 4:30pm. I said to my friend if we take the to Fulton St and catch either the or to 14 st Union Square, it will take an hour and 15 minutes. However, if take the to Broadway Junction and catch the to 14 st Union Square, it will take an hour and 10 minutes(I looked at Google Maps). So we agree to take the & . I had realize that I forgot the don't stop at Fulton St since they were fixing the tunnel. lol I never rode the in years. I was with my mom when I was little to take the to make one stop in Manhattan. This was my third time taking it. It was my first time to ride half the length to 14 St Union Sq. When I was on the , the announcement seems low and I can barely hear it. When I take the R142 or R160, I can hear the announcement loud and clear.

  7. So I was at Jamaica Center on the platform to Broad St hoping to catch the R143. However, I waited 2 minutes and an R32 came and I took it. I know, what's up with everybody about the R143 on the . I just wanted to see if I can get lucky, but not this time. Some of you are lucky to catch it. I know, I could of just get off at Broadway Junction and catch the . I so curious, does the ever ran express after Broadway Junction(towards Manhattan)? I know it runs express after Myrtle Avenue(to Manhattan).
  8. Just scrolling on what's on youtube and I found this. Interesting
  9. " bus simulator helps driver trainees" BROOKLYN - Bus drivers journey along New York City roads and make sure riders are safe as they get from place to place, but little is known about what it takes to become an bus driver. At the Zerega Avenue Maintenance and Training Center, Rich Cerezo guides drivers through all of the "what ifs." Before drivers get in gear, Vision Zero training kicks in, starting with working the driver's seat. Source video: http://brooklyn.news12.com/news/mta-bus-simulator-helps-driver-trainees-1.10558639 Didn't bother to create new topic since it's very short.
  10. It's been a long time since I last saw an RTS Metrocard bus. Where did it go?
  11. I was on the at Coney Island and as the train was leaving, on the other side of the track, I saw a R68 on the platform. On the side of one car, I saw a diamond sign that was only half shown and the rest of the cars had the sign . I was not able to take the picture in time as the train was leaving. As the train left the station, I found out it was the , so I quickly took the picture. This was around 10am today.
  12. Well never mind me then. I never taken the nor the before. I was thinking of taking either line because I really like the R68. I took the to Court Sq for the to Hoyt-Schermerhorn for the or to Chambers just to ride the R68.... I was thinking that both Astoria lines still uses R68 but I was wrong, R160 it is. Like I say, never rode . I did took the from W4 St to Coney Island and the back to Jay St for the to Far Rock.

  14. I believe that's the original green color on all Orion V CNG's before some of them were upgraded to bright orange. Almost all NICE buses have orange signs, the ones that still have green signs are on the Orion V CNG's(most of them). Orion VII NG's has the orange signs and most of the Orion V CNG's has orange signs too. I know I am not suppose to mention this on NICE thread but New York City Bus has mixture of original green signs and bright orange signs. Bus has only the bright orange signs.
  15. Alright thanks MysteriousBtrain. To other guys, I had post the video above on the wrong thread by accident and it was suppose to be this one. I had 8 fl. oz Bud Light tonight. smh I was in a rush to post. lol
  16. I am so sorry. I was not paying attention. I thought I was posting this on the "subway random thoughts" thread. I was likely in a rush to post. I had a 8 fl. oz Bud Light. smh

  19. I would create the new Q45 Q45 LTD, since that does not exist on current Queens routes. This new route would prove service between South Ozone Park and Cambria Heights. This route would go through Linden Blvd. (LTD stops only) Terminal - Rockaway Blvd & 109 St ------- Transfer Q7. Note: After Q45 drop the last passengers, it will turn right on 108 St, then left on 109th Ave, left again on 107th St and final left on Rockaway Blvd. First Stop - Rockaway Blvd & 107th St LTD ----- Transfer Q7 Rockaway Blvd & 109 St ----- Transfer Q7 Rockaway Blvd & 113 St LTD ----- Transfer Q7 Q37 Linden Blvd & 116th St Linden Blvd & Lefferts Blvd LTD ---- Transfer Q10 Linden Blvd & 121st Linden Blvd & 124th St Linden Blvd & 127th St LTD Linden Blvd & 130th St Linden Blvd & 133rd St Linden Blvd & Lincoln St LTD ---- Transfer Q9 Linden Blvd & Van Wyck Expy ---- Transfer X63 Linden Blvd & 142nd St LTD ---- Transfer Q40 Linden Blvd & Inwood St Linden Blvd & 148th St Linden Blvd & Sutphin Blvd LTD ---- Transfer Q6 QM21 X63 Linden Blvd & 157th St Linden Blvd & 159th St Linden Blvd & Guy R. 21. When I am on the train going to Far Rockaway from Chambers St, it is rare to catch the same conductor every afternoon. The conductor still announce Fulton St as "Broadway-Nassau", Jay St-Metro Tech as "Jay St-Borough Hall" & Broadway Junction as "Broadway Junction-East New York". Yes I know those stations were former names before they were changed.
