  1. Please make a minor correction on the scrap report. 3930 is still in revenue service. I’ve been informed the unit has recently transferred to Manhattanville Depot.
  2. But the logistical problem is that you have to cross over from Kings Plaza, bus stop is in the middle of the block near Raymor Flanagan. The Q35 bus stop is no longer at the corner of Avenue U and Flatbush.
  3. I agree with you... One should not have to take 2 or 3 buses over to Kings Plaza to pick up the Q35. Planners really goofed up the Q35 just simply to provide faster service.. The route already does good for itself.. It didn't need to have additional stops removed in Brooklyn. Essentially the B53 is the B40 but in a 2.0 version.
  4. Lets face it.. NYC will never have light rail in this lifetime. I want to see what they do with the Bay Ridge to Jackson Heights proposal that is being talked about right now along with it's environmental study being conducted.
  5. I don't know if you seen the horrible headways with the current B47 under Grand Avenue.. They are running this route to the ground. Grand does that with all their routes with exception of the B38. The only way to address the B47 issue is to split the routes back possibly to its former. it doesn't make sense to have the 47 to travel the same route as the 53. Worse case scenario would be to cut the 47 to Gates Ave to Rutland, and route to cover the southern portion of the route.
  6. Myrtle/Broadway would work.. I think Woodhull would be a better terminal for the local. 46SBS to end at Dekalb/Kosciuszko.
  7. I don't see the Q68, and Q51 having any issues. Current day B24, and B83 do pretty well on the highways. However, the Q50 to LGA I see traffic trouble on that whitestone The B53 is essentially B40 (2.0) which could ultimately mean no more B46 down Broadway, and B47 to Woodhull All the other thoughts you mentioned I fully agree.
  8. My guess for the Brooklyn re-design plan for the area of Broadway is this: B46: Kings Plaza to Dekalb/Kosciuszko Both local and SBS B47: Gets reduced from Woodhull Hospital to Rutland Road B78: Kings Plaza to Rutland Road or Eastern Parkway The B53 is the B40 that went via Broadway to Williamsburg Bridge Plaza and eventually got cut in early 2000's (if my memory serves me correct) Personally, I'd want the B39 to be a true Bushwick/Williamsburg route to Essex Street. Bus doesn't need to enter the confines of Broadway Junction. The farthest I'd send the B39 is Dekalb Avenue. Anything farther is overkill. Personally, I like the Q24 at Broadway Junction.. However, I don't like the Parsons Blvd and 89th Avenue. I could see this 89th Avenue stop get eliminated and have the Q24 along with the Q54/55/56 all at 170th and Jamaica or reduced to Jamaica LIRR. Preferably, the better idea.
  9. It appears that 4087 is also present at LaGuardia depot also with 4080.
  10. QM3, QM20 service id leave alone. QM15 definitely needs 60 minutes service. modify QM4 off peak/weekend to 60 mins QM2, QM5, QM6 patrons would raise hell on their off peak/weekend service. I agree with you on the QM1 service for 60 mins.
  11. Queens express re-design plan is complete garbage. #Fin.
  12. A few notes I got so far. Still reading on this plan. Interboro Routes: Q24, Q54, Q55, Q56 all stop at 170th and Jamaica. Green Acres swap: No longer the Q5 to service the mall. Q85 remains, and New Q86 to take over Merrick Boulevard and the mall. QCC issue: Glad they figured out this issue with a new Q73 and a revamp of Q75. Q83 gets shortened to Archer-153. This makes sense. I’ve always wondered why it went to Hillside-153 and my guess is lack of spacing at Archer for the 83 to stand. I don’t know how I feel about this B53? It’s a re-do of the old B40 between Bway Jct & Williamsburg Plaza. Q39, Q67 swapping terminals. Q68 heading to Williamsburg. ... more notes later.
  13. That’s what I thought. In a way it does parallel the PW branch. That’s the only branch that doesn’t enter Jamaica at all. However, enters from Woodside and it’s not a biggest hub for LIRR per say.
  14. Yes. TA messes up again. They really need to suspend the express bus re-alignments for all boroughs. There’s not enough study to this. Where is the TA getting these #’s from for low ridership on the QM3? But also, does the QM3 in a way duplicate the LIRR to an extent in NW Queens?
  15. One minor correction. 3281. College point is NOT scrapped. Bus is still in revenue service.
  16. Same with 4:55 AM. That trip was also cut. It’s good that the 5:20 is coming back.
  17. Just too bad they don’t have enough express buses. SMH. That 5:20AM schedule reminds me of the old command schedule for BM2. 4:55AM, 5:20AM, 5:50AM.
