Yonkers just sent back 3399, and 3436 to Eastchester as short term loans. There are some more units that have Eastchester decals currently at Yonkers. Tuskegee situation about to get slightly better once they get buses for the M125.
I swear I saw 2498 on the SIM3C yesterday during the day but I realized that it was working a SAA than it returned on a Charleston route during the PM rush.
Most drivers don’t want to put themselves in the situation of “please pay your fare”. The rampant crime that is going on right now in this city is at a all time high and the is telling its operators to aggressively enforce the fare. Last I checked, every driver wants to come home to their family every night or day when they are on the job.
If you have police patrol key bus stop intersections throughout the city and have specialized units in conjunction with the NYPD ride the buses you may see some difference but not a big difference. From observations I’ve only seen MTA police ride the trains between GCT and Atlantic Avenue. So, basically there’s no collaboration between TA/NYPD and MTAPD. (Politicians just talk to talk and not walk the walk)
Queens is really the only borough that enforces fare payment (for the most part). It doesn’t matter if you are on a NYCT or MTA bus. Most drivers in that borough make it their right to enforce or the bus doesn’t move.
I’ve been getting very good intel as of late. However, I will be mindful to cross-check more as some units could be in for maintenance and not for scrap purposes. Appreciate the heads up as always @Kingsbridgeviewer382
I visually saw 4107 be removed from East New York the other day and that’s definitely at Zerega.
4107. EN to Zerega (training). Eventually, bus will be sent to EC for scrap.
3032, 3033 likely retired from CP
3067, 3080, 3099. Likely retired from YON.
