  1. Looking I was wrong and I made a mistake. I don't believe a College Point express route could sustain itself, but if College Point did want its own route, it would have to act a supplement to an existing route such as the QM20. That's why I originally put them together. However at the same time those supplement buses could be useful for having some 3rd ave QM20 service having the College Point bus filling in the 6th ave gap. Although it's not 100% solid it has potential. Hopefully that clarified what I was thinking at the time.
  2. What Im curious about is would the QM16 be more successful if they ran like half the trips to Breezy Point because they currently have no MTA bus service at all or do they just not want MTA service
  3. If we want the to go NJ it should be NJ paying for it not NY they get the benefit not us. Also the to NJ is an alternative to the gateway tunnel. They need to desperately make repairs to the current tunnels from NY to NJ so it's not impossible, but unlikely. Go to Main st around 12:15, when they announce the first train to 34th ST get on the train that leaves before that
  4. Your Express bus sensi comes from the Bronx tho for one it wasn't his fault
  5. Usually going off peak gets you on a bus with more down to earth people mostly cause there not as tired and also not in a rush
  6. Last time I rode the Qm17 Like I said a while ago at the last stop the driver told me to run. As for passengers most people get off earlier in the rockaways. I was the only one who went to the last stop.
  7. Yeah until you ride a nothing is faster than that in queens and you you during the right time you can get an empty train too
  8. when transferring to an express bus from subway/local bus you pay $3.25 I I prefer to just transfer from one express bus to another which is free
  9. In all honestly they should have a cash option on SBS machines and a credit card reader like the parking meters. These machines are huge they should have enough space
  10. You should ride a Yukon MCI there's graffiti inside those buses drawn in sharpie
  11. are Riverdale B/O's just as snobby as the riders cause queen's and SI B/O's don't give no f**ks what's so ever I also see brooklyn B/O's using them while en-route
  12. I line has nothing to do with charging speed that has to do with the bus
  13. only on some rows but they don't charge fast
  14. The MTA doesn't have assigned seat today so if someone told me to get off a seat excluding for disabled passengers, I would tell them I paid for my seat and I came here first. If they still complain I'd tell them to F*** off and just blast my music on my phone. I couldn't care less for snobby riders tbh especially if they annoy me. However if I'm asked nicely I wouldn't mind moving as long as I don't have the shotgun seat. If I have the shotgun seat I say the exact same thing tbh.
  15. Autocorrect, I missed it completely The QM2 is like the snobbiest of queens in my opinion. The Qm2 riders at 34th/6th ave just hate the QM20 and their riders, idk why. I remember the last time I tried to ride the super express I didn't care if it was the QM2 or QM20 cause I was going to the Q25 but the QM2 riders insisted (screamed in my face really) that I do not get on the QM20 super express. They kept talking about how horrible those people were, and how horrible the driver was and, how horrible everything about the QM20 was, no joke.
  16. You do have a a good point but it's hard to tell who will use the bus until the actual bus starts running look at the NYCT routes in queens the only one that LOOKS like a good route is the x68 yet routes like the x63 have long service hours and re x64 is still doing fine. Getting on these NYCT routes I always notice the same thing unlike other Express bus routes, these routes have a much more mixed ridership. Pretty much it's one of they very few times where white peple are a minority. These buses go through mostly lower middle class and working class neighborhoods were money is a lot more tight. However if you ride theses lines the people getting off is pretty spread out for the most part. last Romeo rode the x68 a bunch of people got off at 165th, while no one did at 169th. (entrance to Jamaica hills) Which is the opposite of what I expected. You really can't predict with 100% certainty whether or not it will be successful until the route runs itself. Also if the MTA really wanted to save money they should have any buses to Manhattan after 12 and no buses to queens until 2. If you've ever been on those buses you'll see that they make no profit from those runs.
  17. honestly I like they Orion V's they feel much nice to ride over the RTS buses
  18. The way I see it is lets add some 3rd ave variants of the QM20 cause the QM20 does get people considering it gets more Super Express departures compared to it QM2 counterpart. Then we can use the college point buses (going to 6th ave) to kinda replace those 3rd ave buses. This way if people in college point aren't too fond of their new service, it has a backup source of ridership. I do know for a fact that QM20's during rush hour can get pretty full by the time they get to parsons blvd, so it could take some load off that route and allow room for more service. Also what we all need to understand is they don't need to have a lot of service if the MTA wants, they could make it so it only has 3 departures like the QM3. If they want all they could make it so that there is one AM and one PM bus only nothing is stopping them.
  19. So paying more than double when your double fare is actually less and being stuck in traffic makes sense. That's just ridiculous! TBH the best a demographic can do is give a prediction it does not accurately predict what people want. I do maybe not the same way they see it but yes College point has potential ridership. What I notice is people in college point are like people in tottenville they all have cars but they prefer to use mass transit to get to work that why you have the 20a/b The reason the weekend service is only on the Q20a and not the Q20b is because the A serves the mall. But during rush hour I wait for the Q20 I almost always get the Q20b because it serves the people in the residential neighborhood If I was to make a rout in college point it would supplement the QM20 https://www.google.com/maps/dir/40.790859,-73.8520189/Whitestone+Exp%2FLinden+Pl/@40.7873175,-73.8266407,1193m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m49!4m48!1m40!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8452387!2d40.7924003!3s0x89c2f54a5424e13f:0xb0d6dde38e66c986!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8436528!2d40.7925958!3s0x89c2f54ae56a0449:0x46870316e3216b1d!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8407922!2d40.7918459!3s0x89c28ab523897119:0xcb80efb0c47439da!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8321085!2d40.7861055!3s0x89c28ab0efed9aa3:0xbb161a301b202f29!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8283961!2d40.7886516!3s0x89c28ab9a3f41d01:0x10cba4db589a696c!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8213209!2d40.7835998!3s0x89c28abcfe22d9e7:0x3e88f78b00b337e8!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8262721!2d40.7744619!3s0x89c28aa711f34385:0x5e1f26e5b15d2e0b!3m4!1m2!1d-73.8278383!2d40.772861!3s0x89c28aa788dfed91:0x9fec64dd1f802322!1m5!1m1!1s0x89c260025adc7b47:0xeb181415cdaf5c7f!2m2!1d-73.833747!2d40.771582!3e0
  20. If you go to Mets Willets Point there is a walkway that goes over CS and Corona Yard Also CS is getting XD40 at a good time right now. Since the Q44 is going to become SBS soon, when they put shorties on the Q44 they need shorties that can display blue signs which are the XD40's. To those who don't believe the Q44 will have shorties when it become SBS they should ride it now shorties are still pretty common on the line especially during weekends. It be weird having an SBS fleet of XD40's (Unwrapped of course) and LFSA's.
  21. I line taking the bxm2 cause it goes through some very amazing scenery
  22. not bad the only time you get a bsu to yourself is if you travel off peak in an awkward hour
