  1. R62A 2031-35/36-2040 is in service on the .
  2. UPDATE: Just saw info on SubChat that R62As 2031/2040 are being transferred at the moment.
  3. There's still a little over a dozen of them on the so for any railfans out there that like the R62A on the Flushing line cherish these moments while you still can especially with the Railfan windows. As for the line, the R62As are practically dominating that line from top to bottom, theres over 25 62As on the already including the loaners from the . Don't have a clue when those loaners are going back to the but in any event, it truly feels like 1990s era on the which several years ago I never thought to see.
  4. On the weekend that the TOMC was out, there was only one R62A in service.
  5. I think in total theres about 30 R62A sets on the including the loaners from the line.
  6. Really... cause I've had the weird luck of catching R62As , even when I wanted an R188. Except on the weekends when its mostly R188s.
  7. You would think that but lately they've been using more of the R142As and whatever's left to boot. They tend to always put the R62As first to the storage yard after every peak service on the . As for the R62As on the , I suggest cherishing them on the while it last, for those who like them on the line because maybe by this time next year R62As would be a hard find on the Flushing line.
  8. Its on Subchat: http://www.subchat.com/read.asp?Id=1370263
  9. According to info on SubChat, the first of the 75xx are ready to be shipped to yonkers. We are getting close.
  10. Nothing surprises me anymore about how the MTA handles these station renovations. It's pathetic.
  11. Theres a R142 train right outside the 240th st yard. Im assuming waiting for available space at 207th yard.
  12. Thank you! Exactly what I mean and I'm guessing Westchester does not want to deal with taking that out.
  13. One of the R62As that just came from the to the , I think is 2052 has the 7 sticker attached on the rollsign in the interior car. Don't understand what led Corona to place those stickers in the first place since the R62As would eventually wind up on another subway line.
  14. I wonder how long they plan on keeping those particular sets on the since they really belong to the anyways. The 2300s have been there for over a year, I understand train shortage on the but that's about 25 sets from 240th St loaned over to westchester for a while. They should've sent the 1800s.
  15. I think Coney Island yard shop is a better option for the R188s to travel to since it only has to grow through the BMT junction & tunnels.
  16. R62As 2051-55 & 2136-40 are on the . Saw them both coupled together on my way home.
  17. So besides 2096-2100, is there any other set bound for westchester at the moment?
  18. Interesting, I thought they we're doing things in order like wasnt 2026-2030 next in line to go to westchester after 2021-2025 and so on and so forth...
  19. Good question, with the combination of R188s & R62As I thought there was enough trains to make up for service on the .
  20. Few days ago I was on an R142A on the that smelled like under arm pits & marijuana. No BS
  21. From what I've seen, the sets that came from 240th st are all still on the and have been there for about a year now, haven't seen nothing go to the as opposed to the converted R188s.
  22. Thanks Calvin, that's exactly what I imagined. R62A 1906-1910 could wind up on the Shuttle since theres no 1909 to make up for 5-car linking.
  23. A little of topic here, but if my calculations are correct there's about 14 or 15 R62As left assigned to Corona. I'm wondering if or if anybody has an idea about some of the 19xx singles eventually being linked to 5 car sets. For example, R62A #1921 which was formally from 240th St yard has the red sticker on the roof which indicates what side gets converted to full width, will that set be re-linked in the future?
