  1. R62A 2101-05 2106-2110 is still on the . Also R188 7441-45/46-50 7822 is in service.
  2. I believe your right cause I saw the set TJ mentioned with C car 7823 testing on the yesterday.
  3. Oh yea passed by the today and 2096-2100 was in service coupled with train set 2306-2310
  4. Yea but the R179 issue is a different scenario than anything of the A division. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the R62/As go a long time as well, to me it seems everything coming in new like the NTTs all look the same and boring. I grew up riding the R62As so there one of if not my favorite subway fleets.
  5. How bout this, wait at least 10 to 15 years more give or take for new trains on the A Division and stop with the idea of R188s going to other lines. It probably could work but theres no logic to doing it when theres enough trains to cover certain A division lines some of which are part time lines like the .
  6. Getting on topic here, 7451-55/56-60 7923 is testing on the .
  7. I suppose it does since it's close proximity to the station. Or maybe it's "Connection is available to Metro North".
  8. I can tell the is low on rolling stock cause I keep seeing R142As from the being put on the P.M. rush hour service multiple times already.
  9. This thread has been kinda quite for a while, any news on anything in service or anything swap related. Theres no more 74xx units in service on the .
  10. During the rap up of the A.M. rush, some trains that are bound for Parkchester go express from Hunts Point to Parkchester then afterwards goes layup to the yard.
  11. Some R142 trains get stored at Livonia Yard after ending at Crown heights.
  12. Yeap, Joaqin is coming and its path is unkown at this point.
  13. Those LEDs are a need especially on a line like the were trains randomly switch northern terminals Parkchester or Pelham Bay daily. That system helps riders know what train is express/local much less on a SMEE R62A equipment. If a local rider of the line has common sense to know the difference between the circle & diamond distiction then those LEDs are worthless, but for anyone else who don't ride the on a normal basis then those lights are a need for a better understanding. I feel they need to eventually rearrange several of the R62As sets in numerical order, like the 1800s that currently run the should go to the and once the 2100s are full width then they can end up on the displacing the 1800s. If the case is that Westchester doesn't know how to fix the LED lights which I don't think thats likely the case then it is what it is and they could remove them if they want, the is a very demanding subway line and certain components on the rolling stock serving the line can crap out, but they are usefull for riders who need to go local or express on the .
  14. The line is Siemens and the is Thales. I think the Queens Blvd Line would be a combination of the two, I'm not really sure on that.
  15. And if the Capital Programs dont get funded, the Lexington line wont be seeing CBTC for a while.
  16. It has been in service on occasions.Theres still plenty of R62A left on the that are used for regular service so basically you'd find during middays some R188s laid at Corona or possibly now at the track extension layup after 34th St Hudson Yards. Just relax, certain sets of trains are not seen for awhlie either due to maintaince or any critical component work and Corona Yard is filling up with R188s.
  17. Corona is not keeping any R62A once the swap is done.
  18. R62A 1781 has had one of its LED local/express indicator lights removed.
  19. What do you expect when theres more converted sets than the factory sets and more is on the way in the future.
  20. Rode an R62A train express from 125th to 42nd. I love how these Westinghouse equipment beasts just howls through the lex line express tubes.
  21. you wouldn't mind seeing a set filthy dirty, and with scratchitti on an R62A? Scratchitti? Really? As opposed to trains being bombed by graffiti in the 70s. Come on now.
  22. No. Keep in mind that about 220 R142As will remain as is on the Lexington line. Some of them will remain on the . Common sense should be clear by now that once the R142As are converted to R188s they will serve the for CBTC operations. Thats the WHOLE point in automating the Flushing line in the first place.
