    When I take any of the Woodhaven buses its usually to go to the A at rockaway blvd or to the mall so I just hop on whatever comes first. I do tend to notice that the people who use it for local stops get screwed waiting for the 11/21. It probably would be best to have a single Local and a single limited and increase service on both.

    Very simple but the MTA is dying to cut express service, Weekend and 3rd avenue are their main targets.

    I would say have buses going out of Manhattan operate out of Quill but you have to get the guys to Quill via shuttle so scrap that unless you have the B/Os report to Quill but that's an unnecessary burden for them. I guess the reroute is the only option, there's no harm in trying.

    I mean when you get off the bridge you have to cut across and down to 2nd or 5th ave which can be absolute hell to do so as well so maybe their logic isnt too far off but I can't imagine that being worse than the tunnel.

    Crazy. I don't get it they complain about the costs of weekend express service but allow it to be a miserable experience and deter riders. I mean not much you can do about traffic but the tunnel situation is just terrible. They want the people off these buses so they can cut the service.

    Weekend Express bus service has just been f'd, I mean here in Queens with the tunnel repairs its FUBAR but atleast we have the subway to get to/from Manhattan. It's not right for those going to/from SI where its their primary method of transportation.

    There's a difference between self evident wrongs like the driver running a red light, striking a person and taking off and what occurred. It's a shame this woman had to die but I will stand with our bus drivers..

    Those xd40s are really that bad? I mean I've never ridden on those I only use Laguardia's and Fresh Pond's, and I'm fond of those. Yea I forgot about those.

    I've been seeing alot of SC MCIs with signs for the BM2 AND 3 deadheading down Woodhaven and that was my logical assumption.

    Do any of the other BMs use Woodhaven Blvd and Cross Bay to deadhead into Manhattan or just the BM5?

    I see your point. I think the QM4 reroute wouldn't be that bad of an idea. I mean it doesn't carry as much as the 5/6 but it makes up for alot of picks for the B/Os at Baisley so I personally wouldn't want to cut the service. Experimenting to improve ridership wouldn't be a bad gamble.

    There are always alot of talks to continue to cut service on the 5/6 especially on weekends. I personally think a stop along queens blvd near Kew Gardens Station on the 1/5/6/7/8 could defer ridership from the F/E and onto express buses.

    I haven't taken the express bus in 2 weeks. Last time was on the 15. I don't have to go into Manhattan too often anymore. Felt bad for the driver he was filling in for someone and he wasn't too sure of the route. I'm sure its hell right now cause of the UN. Should've just let him rock.

    I feel the ones at JFK the former GBL units were pretty solid. The diesel ones who saw service at CP I believe were sent from JFK they were pretty solid too, they even ran on express routes occasionally.

    I know the R179s are replacing the R42s on the J/Z lines but in terms of other cars especially the R32 what else is going and on what lines?

    One route that would benefit greatly from off board fare payment in my opinion is the Q23 especially at 71st Ave/Queens Blvd. Bus lanes aren't necessary and it wouldn't need artics, doubt that would even work with how tight the streets are.

    Was the bus 3158 that was in the QM11 crash on the FDR Drive scrapped? cause I've seen it listed on people's rosters

    I saw Jamaica Depot's #8417 on Union Turnpike today in Glendale NIS heading towards Myrtle Ave. Does anyone have any idea where it was headed?
