  1. Only thing I dislike it’s something else you gotta wait on before you even receive your notice to come in for pre-employment. Not to mention still haven’t gotten official scores yet.
  2. Patient is the name of the game with MTA (hate it with a passion). But hopefully we’re all receive a letter by Feb. 2018. That’s when the current C/R list expires. And I’m sure they’re gonna jump straight into this list. Since they’re really trying to take the keys from Dcas and do they own thing. As for T/O that should move a lot quicker since the last list has already expire and they just working off of the promo list now i believe. Word off advice continue to apply to other positions. Like the Track Worker application is live now i strongly advise you apply giving yourself multiple chances to get in.
  3. Don’t mind me asking where did you hear this?
  4. If we talking only MTA. I got 7. 4 B/O and 1 C/R, 1 T/O, 1 T/W. You the man.
  5. If you don’t mind me asking do you remember when you declined the offer or and better terms when they called you for processing?! Thanks in advance. Cause i’m 14xx might be closer then I think!
  6. Honestly it’s just always been a goal of mines to work for the agency. I’ve always just wanted to wear that badge with the logo on my arm since young especially be a T/O. I have plenty of family who work there as well and before my grand pass I promise i would stick to it and make it in so i like to keep at least those promises.
  7. It’s not a problem my ninja. I use google for my search engine needs. So I type in multiple examples on google but here’s a few. agree and disagree practice test or personality practice questionnaire for jobs - these the main ones i use i search thru pages of different practice ones some are easy some are harder you have to find them. But here’s two site that i recently use and it’s not long but just gives you a idea. And it changes every time you take it. http://www.psychometricinstitute.com.au/test-area-free.asp?testID=27 https://www.jobtestprep.com/personality-test-free Of course never pay for anything look only for free lmao.
  8. To be honest i’m in a similar position. I work for UPS as a driver i just started making top pay which is 35 dollars a hour for a 27 year old is a blessing but in my case i’ve aways wanted to work for MTA. And now that i’m getting closer to that goal i’m going to take the MTA job over UPS. I’m going to take a leave of absence just in case. But yea it’s a pay cut for a few years but i’m set up to make that transition. I think right now you have to ask yourself is it something you really wanna do. Because if this wasn’t a goal of mines then I wouldn’t even be on this forum. Then ask yourself can you survive a few years before you even reach back where you was when you left the hotel job. Because to be honest the kind of money your making now you can go set up a nice retirement fund from TD bank and that penision you get from the hotel won’t matter cause you got plently saved away for a honest living.
  9. I remember when you first posted you was going for pre-employment now your crushing it. You go girl. Good luck the rest of the way! Make every day count!
  10. As long as you don’t repeat the answers or questions that was on the exam your fine. That’s where people mess up where they start typing word for word what was on the exam. Example. If you said the exam had 10 questions and the first question was “which train take you from A to B” and you tell everyone the answer was D. See that’s a issue.
  11. I also received that same letter. And If you ask me It's a blessing. Which ever one calls me first i'm in there... SIGN ME UP SCOTTIE... I know one thing MTA better allow me to have another job if I end up getting the PT position first until something FT available opens up lmao.
  12. Then yes best thing to do is go online and do some online practices they can greatly help you. Like I said I have took plently and it help me.
  13. It’s a pass or fail kind of thing. I hope you put in for other exams as well. Not just this one never put all your eggs in one basket when it comes to these city exams. Always apply to all that you meet the requirement for.
  14. I’m not to sure about that. My last name starts with a B and my first starts with a A so I would be at the front of the list regardless lmao. The perks! Gift and a curse!
  15. Sorry to hear that my ninja. I know how difficult these surveys can be I personally have had bad luck with them. I would say continue to take them and try to figure them out. They have practice ones online as well just google them. Try some of those it helps train your mind to be able to see the trick questions. I’m sure you answer all of them correctly but you may have answer one question one way then turn around answer that same question just worded differently another way not noticing that it contradicts one of the previous question’s you answer. That’s how they get you it’s the trick questions you have to look out for.
  16. See now that is to me at least a very important question... And how are they doing this. Like if 10,000 people pass the first exam are they going to have 10,000 people take the OPA before the list go public or are they going to make the list public first then move forward. Or are they gonna to be hiring people as well as doing this OPA thing over the next 4 years after the list goes public.
  17. It sounds like whatever your passing score was on the first exam is your score as far as list placement goes. The OPA is a pass or fail whether to determine if you’ll move forward in the progress. The NYC Transit B/O exam is like that as well you have to take the exam first then you take the BOSS after that. Which is also Pass or Fail.
  18. As far as questions go I myself got 5 wrong no letter. Which is fine with me. I’m very patient because I’ll like to read/hear what the OPA is actually all about from those that did it first. They’ll give the inside scope on things and that’ll help everyone in the long run. I still wish those that take it first the best of luck of course.
  19. I said the same thing. I didn’t believe it until he bought that to work. I needed proof. But it’s clear as a day. But after thinking about it and speaking with him. He could’ve gotten 5 wrong when he first check his answers but after the protest for the exam it could’ve actually help him in reducing the questions he got wrong. but like you said at least things are moving and starting to see progress.
  20. It’s really up in the air as to how MTA is moving my current co-worker got 5 wrong and received a notice for OPA. So I mean and he was one of the last people to apply how do i know because i told him last day of to apply so It’s really inconclusive at this point. Overall, just remain patient I believe as long as you got over a 90 your in good shape for the job. May take you a hot minute but you’ll get in.
  21. Hey they say the earlier your there the faster you leave. So if they want you there 7:30 get there 7. Most likely be ahead of the line. First thru the doors. In and out!
  22. Yes, you can do the same as long as the list is still active you can always reinstate your name at a later time.
  23. I'm sure after the oral exam you'll still have to wait until next year after the current exam expire in feb. 2018 so I'm sure you have time. MTA is just probably starting to get things started now so that they can jump straight into #6601. So I say continue to move forward with your day to day. I'm sure everything will work in your favor. Best of luck my ninja!
  24. That’s when you make a decision on what you going to do moving forward. But remember if you don’t pass probation in the C/R title before excepting the T/O title you can’t return to the previous position (i.e. C/R) if things don’t work out as a T/O.
  25. Good luck to those moving forward into the OPA. Remember to keep the tread update with your progress... knowledge is key so don't be afraid to share that knowledge now...
