  1. For some reason, the Brighton Ave stop is shown on BusTime on the westbound S96 even though it doesn't stop there.🤣
  2. Speaking of the S96, Why is Brighton Av served only in the AM rush but not the PM rush?
  3. Just make Meredith into a full-time local and express depot. The S46/96 end less than a block from Meredith and the S62/S92 are also pretty close to Meredith from Travis.
  4. Usually, if the bus is signed up in the wrong direction (i.e. a Bricktown Mall bound S78 signed up as a St. George bound S78) BusTime would show the correct direction regardless what the destination sign is. Speaking of the S78, on weekdays when no buses are scheduled to short-turn at Richmond Av, some S78 buses have their destination sign signed up to say "Richmond Av" even though on BusTime the bus comes up as a "Bricktown Mall" bound bus. (Most of the time this happened when Yukon was covering a trip on the S78.)
  5. At St. George, There are; - 8 Castleton routes (13 if you count the LTDs) - 3 Yukon routes (6 if you count the LTDs) - 2 Charleston routes (3 if you count the LTDs) In total, 8/13 (13/22 if you count the LTDs) routes are Castleton, so there are more Castleton routes at St. George than Yukon and Charleston combined.
  6. The S52 is a Castleton route, so dispatch is from Castleton.
  7. Was 4006 ever wrapped? I saw it on the S79 SBS today and some if the back was wrapped, the rest wasn't.
  8. I personally think that in every neighborhood that doesn't have a subway station, there should be a MetroCard center where you can buy and refill MetroCards and have someone at a booth to help you out. The whole deli thing is a joke. Neighborhoods that lack proper places to get MetroCards have higher rates of fare evasion, especially on Staten Island.
  9. Probably because you don't have to swipe again when you transfer to another subway route while you have to dip your MetroCard when you transfer to another bus.
  10. but don't they have other buses, each depot has spare buses for a reason.
  11. One Question: Why does the run broken buses on bus routes. Today I was on the S57 (LFS #8293) and that bus had a messed up destination sign and a broken fare box. The B/O had to play a recording of himself saying "57 to Hlyan and Ebbitts" due to that fact that the destination sign was frozen on "Not In Service", Plus the MTA was losing money on all the fares lost on that bus. It also wasn't on BusTime.
  12. The S98 doesn't even go to New Jersey. Did you mean the S89?
  13. The video if anyone wants to see it: https://youtu.be/aiHLF1tinzk The adds should be moving towards the back of the bus for the last 2 weeks of the campaign.
  14. I'm a bit late but... https://imgur.com/a/0PXEjlH How do you put images?
  15. Today I realized that on the S78 line, the paper schedules don't match up with the bus stop schedules. For example, on Early Sunday Mornings, the paper schedule says every 30 mins while the bus stop says every hour.
  16. So if a bus passes out of SI is running in Queens for a Subway shuttle, would that mean every day the B/O has to drive all the way to Queens and back?
  17. Question: Who drives the subway shuttle buses and whey are they dispatched from?
  18. but what happens if you have like a 2-hour swing between bus runs.
  19. Quick question: What are swing shifts for a bus driver? I don't really get what it is.
