  1. So apparently the only things opening this month are the theme park and the ice skating rink. Thats it. No food. No shops. https://www.americandream.com/dream
  2. Another option has emerged, but its really stupid. https://www.nj.com/traffic/2019/10/ferry-from-nyc-another-nj-bus-just-added-to-american-dream-transit-options.html
  3. Except as pointed out, the exact same route charges $7 on stadium game days.
  4. NJ Transit’s new 355 express bus to American Dream retail and entertainment complex will cost adults a $9 fare in each direction or $18 round trip, said Jim Smith, a spokesman. Football fans who ride the 351 Coach USA bus between New York and MetLife Stadium pay a $14 round trip fare for the same 20-minute trip. https://www.nj.com/traffic/2019/10/the-only-mass-transit-to-the-american-dream-mall-is-the-bus-and-its-going-to-be-pricey.html
  5. They could make it flatter by making the zones larger. Of course it makes sense that a bus going from NYC to Lakewood costs more than a bus from Metuchen to Edison. But maybe a bus that only runs in Newark should only be one zone instead of two or three? Combining zones 1 and 2 into a $2 flat fare would be an easy start.
  6. I love this schedule. It shows Im not crazy! In 2005, the X service was indeed a good amount faster than local service. IE: X departs Penn at 4:00 and arrives in Ivy Hill at 4:28 1 departs Penn at 4:02 and arrivs in Ivy Hill at 4:36 Today it's the opposite! The current schedule also shows shorter trip times, even thought traffic has gotten worse (and the buses can never meet the scheduled times) IE, look at the last trip on Sunday am. 2005: Leave JC at 3:18am, arrive in Ivy Hill at 4:20am 2019: Leave JC at 3:18am arrive at Ivy Hill at 4:14am
  7. No direct buses from Newark doesn't make sense to me.
  8. Don't you think it's odd to offer an express service that takes longer than the local? You don't see anything wrong with this? While the 361 does spend more time on Springfield, it does so without stopping - hence the express. It also take a single right turn instead of two left and two right turns on the regular route. I have ridden both routes and the 361 is always faster. Do you have any experience on the route that says otherwise?
  9. And I just noticed I made a typo "According to this, the local takes 8 minutes longer!" Should read "According to this, the express takes 8 minutes longer than the local!" (is there a way to edit posts here?)
  10. I want the schedule to be accurate. That should be the purpose of the schedule, right? I don't know if its a typo but I do know that the express is (obviously) faster than the local and should be listed as such.
  11. I recently found this forum, and thought I'd raise an issue I've observed. Bus 361 is the express version of the 1. They are listed on the same timetable. It is express because it skips all the stops on the first half of the route, and takes a more direct path towards Ivy Hill. Having taken both buses, I can confirm that the 361 is faster than the 1. And yet the schedule shows it being slower! https://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0001.pdf Example (Towards Ivy Hill, weekday) 361 leaves Penn at 3:40pm, arrives at Ivy Hill at 4:14pm 1 leaves Penn at 3:42pm, arrives at Ivy Hill at 4:08pm According to this, the local takes 8 minutes longer! 361 leaves Penn at 4:00pm, arrives at Ivy Hill at 4:34pm 1 leaves Penn at 4:03pm, arrives at Ivy Hill at 4:29pm Again the 361 is listed as 8 minutes longer. This repeats throughout the schedule. I emailed NJT and they said they'd look into it. Nothing changed.
