  1. So why not put a sign? This is the stop, the closest one to the Shoprite. https://goo.gl/maps/XVYhcgxyk5uXCPZY9
  2. The new schedule actually expands the rush hour gap on the NEC. There is now a 1 hour and 5 minute gap between trains leaving New Brunswick/Edison/Metuchen north from 5:30 to 6:35pm Insanity.
  3. Does anyone know what a "courtesy stop" is? I went to a bus stop thats marked on Google Maps and the NJT app. There was no bus sign. Luckily, the bus stopped for me, and when I got on, I noticed the screen had the name of the stop on the monitor. So I emailed NJT to let them know their bus stop sign was missing... And was told thats intentional, its a "courtesy stop".

  5. Is there any logic with how trips between midnight and 5am are shown on the schedule? On the 190, theyve been moved from the top to the bottom
  6. Great finds! I admit I only looked between Newark and EWR, which is why I missed those changes. I am of the opinion that they should be 2 different routes.
  7. NJT really should be more clear about the changes. I hate this vague bs. Here is where me and my bag had to stand for 25 minutes because the schedule is not adequate
  8. I could not find any changes on the 62. I rode it yesterday and it was dangerously overcrowded. 7 people were left at the terminal.
  9. They didnt say. Could be something like a water filtration issue, or staffing shortage? An article said they needed like 300 life guards
  10. Big Snow is open, 10am to 10pm daily https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/news/2019/12/06/american-dream-mall-big-snow-indoor-ski-slope-opens-new-jersey/4351607002/
  11. I saw a different fare machine at Edison, anyone know anything about it? Is this "new new" or "installed in 2012 as a test that went nowhere new"? Besides looking sleeker, the menu design was much better
  12. Waterpark is delayed but Big Snow looks like they will open December 5. That might add 10 bus riders per day!
  13. Tried to take the 1 from JC to Newark this weekend. Luckily I knew to open the tracker map which showed the incoming bus was very, very late. So we took PATH. The bus ended up arriving 40 minutes late. We were in Newark and the 1 was still in JC. And this was with horrendous weekend PATH schedules!
  14. It was a smart choice to not start train service. Very little demand at AD right now with just the theme park open - and they still havent gotten their 2 big coasters running. They even cut 2 operating hours.
  15. I cant see the photo. The NJT order artics with only 2 doors again because they hate their riders?
  16. The way to solve the issue is tap on, tap off. If you dont tap off, you get charged the maximum fare for that line. Of course, NJT is still a coin based system, like we're in the 1940s.
  17. It looks to me like zones are at fixed locations for all routes. Usually a city boundary or train station. The issue is that it makes some trips very unfair. IE, the GO28 makes a couple of stops in Bloomfield, and then crosses into Newark - fare boundary. It then travels extensively to the airport under the same zone. Why does 1/2 a mile cost so much more than the next 5 miles?
  18. Id argue that the current system results in more lost money. How many people pay for the right amount of zones? Its impossible to police on local routes where people get on and off all the time.
  19. The buses to Jersey Gardens are the absolute worst. The times Ive taken it, we spend all day going back and forth through industrial areas where nobody gets on or off. Meanwhile, theres 50 people trying to get to the mall. A trip that should take 15 minutes takes 50.
  20. I recommend buying a ticket in the NJ Transit app
