  1. Just another weird, obsessed youtube foamer who thinks they're smarter than anyone that doesn't think like them. Nothing special to see here.
  2. Yes I got that part. What I meant to ask was, didn't Prevost leave the U.S. already? Or did they only leave N.Y. state?
  3. Oh okay. So how does this thing work with Prevost? Is the upcoming MTA Bus express order a option of the Prevost order that was completed earlier this year?
  4. This exchange is no longer relevant to the R211s, hence why I moved it here. So if you want to, you can have the last word 'cause I'm finished here.
  5. If you were truly able to read & comprehend, you would not have interpreted this entire situation the way that you have. By stating that 'you're a grown adult', you just proved that I have once again underestimated the immaturity levels that exist in this community. Being an adult clearly has not made you mature. Like I said before, you need to grow up.
  6. Right, forgot about the state funds. So if NY state had their own version of Buy America (something like Buy NY), then state funds couldn't be used for companies w/o a factory in the state.
  7. So basically- if the MTA wants to continue ordering from Nova & Prevost, they have to pay for it themselves and can't rely on the feds' money for it?
  8. I read @Kamen Rider's entire post. She stated that R211 4070-79 (the same set in the photo which she also operated on) was supposed to be signed up as an the entire time, and was never intended to be signed up as a in the first place. You yourself even asked (in an overly dramatic way I might add) why the was running 10 cars and not as 5, which clearly indicates that you thought it was a shuttle. @R32 3838 as well as myself told you that it was an put in train. We may have been wrong as to why it was signed up as an , but we weren't wrong about it being an train. The 'lack of common sense' remark that Kamen made was in response to the person who had the train signed as an . It was not directed at any of us here, unless there is something I'm missing here which I don't believe is the case. You tried to use her post to make it seem like you proved a point, but what you did was prove that YOU in fact are the one that lacks common sense. If you're mad that I called you a foamer that's fine; but if you're gonna try to attack me or anyone else here, you should try attacking us with facts. Unfortunately for you, you're facts were waaaay off here. You are very immature and have a LOT of growing up to do. I don't know how old you are, 'cause as you stated I don't know you. But I'm willing to bet that you are of school age. You should really learn how to read as well as learning basic comprehension skills. Maybe then you'll finally have the 'common sense' that you falsely tried to claim that we lack. It's the audacity for me. Carry on child.
  9. Yep, and Stevie Wonder has 20/20 vision.
  10. Calm down foamer. It was an train put-in that was signed up as an due to it starting at Euclid Av & ending at Far Rock - Mott Ave, before continuing as a regular A train. It's not that deep. Yeah, it's giving Elementary / Middle School lol.
  11. If what you said about the r32s & r42s being 'prematurely retired' was your opinion, then you should've done a better job with how you presented it. We are all entitled to our opinions. It becomes an issue when people present their opinions as facts, and then on top of it get mad when others call them out on it. If you can share your opinions on a public forum, you should also be able to take constructive criticism. Now on a more relevant note, I'm glad that the R211s are officially in service now with two trains & I look forward to seeing more in service soon.
  12. You're entitled to your opinions, but you're not entitled to your own facts. Those 50 R42s were always planned to be replaced by the R179s. It was the R32s that were planned to be kept, 100+ to be specific. If they were already keeping over 100 R32s, why would they then need to keep those 50 r42s? Keeping 200+ R32s would've made more sense than keeping 50 oddball r42s. These are all things you already knew, that was my point. I wasn't trying to have an attitude. I even considered putting an 'Lol' in my post to make it lighter. You often say silly things on here, and it's hard to tell sometimes when you're being sarcastic or you're actually being serious. Some of this stuff you already know, and yet you still act like you're outraged and/or surprised when certain decisions are made. Sometimes all you have to do is use common sense.
  13. Does it have something to do with the way the cars were made, or is it just the fact that they're open gangways in general? Either way, that's not good news for the MTA since they have been touting this as the future of the NYC subway. The deliveries would be faster if option 2 is standard cars. I'll be satisfied either way as long as we get option 2.
  14. We'll find out soon enough what the top priority is. Like you said, only time will tell. We're gonna see how this plays out. The r42s were not prematurely retired. They were already gonna be replaced by the r179s regardless. There were only 50 of them left vs. over 300 R179s. You already knew this so I'm not sure why you even brought them up. Also option 1 is already confirmed. It's option 2 that is still pending confirmation. And even if option 1 was yet to be confirmed, the base order alone is enough to only require the R46s to be kept on reserve. Some of your points are pretty moot.
  15. Correct. While it is true that there are exactly enough r211s in the base order to directly replace/displace the r46s from Pitkin, that doesn't guarantee that it will play out just like that. The C could become full length during the base order while some r46s stick around until option 1, which could then provide the cars needed to displace the remaining 46s. Anyways, I don't wanna keep going back & forth on this stuff as we've done enough of that in this thread already. There are a number of possibilities that can take place with this order and we all should be keeping an open mind to that, especially for those of us who are not employees. So let's at least try to wait and see how this plays out before we reach any final conclusions.
  16. By 'no talk about that anytime soon' you mean the r211s being rotated with the right? That's fine, like I said before I'm not expecting it to happen anytime soon since the is top priority. In reference to the 5 car R179s being rotated with the - that's gonna be complicated as long as the 4 car sets are still on the C. Unless they combine the 4 & 5 car sets to make 9 car trains (temporarily) until 207th receives the necessary upgrades for 10 car trains. 🤷
  17. As Kamen noted above, the becoming 100% full length is contingent upon 207th barn being upgraded accordingly. It will just be weird if most of the base order is in and the is still running mixed length. So hopefully work is completed by a certain time. For the last part, I don't expect r211s to run on the anytime soon anyway. The is the priority right now since it is a longer and more demanding line. The will be just fine with r46s until there are enough NTTs to fill up both lines. What I didn't note in that previous post is that the r211s can end up with the same setup as the r46s currently at Pitkin, where they're being rotated with the .
  18. Lol, yes we know. It was reported here and we've been talking about it since like the last page.
  19. You do realize the r46s on the are rotated from Pitkin right? There are no r46 sets that are assigned exclusively to the . And we don't know when exactly those 4 car r179s are leaving 207th yard. So let's not talk as if we know exactly what's gonna happen 'cause we don't. It's all in the MTA's hands what exactly they decide to do.
  20. Nobody knows yet. Just wait for the cars to enter service and you can see it for yourself.
  21. What we know so far is that the & is getting the r211s; the & will be NTT either with r160s or r211s; and all r68/as will be at CI yard.
  22. It's not just Kawasaki, but we get the point.
