  1. I recently tracked the XD40s and most of them are running. I would assume that the new novas have teething issues.
  2. Stengel has been taking buses from JA before the construction started.
  3. Well, what do you propose then? Front door boarding is not going to cut it...
  4. Making the bus system free makes things more efficient. Front door-only boarding is not going to cut it. It's slow and inefficient. WIth fare beating culture in New York, I highly doubt the MTA can make rear-door boarding a reality with OMNY. Front door boarding is outdated and should be cut. Places with significantly better bus systems like Taipei have all-door boarding which speeds up the process.
  5. JA is sending loans to Stengel because Stengel is short. Nothing to do with the water main replacement. QV has not sent anything to Stengel. This has been happening for the past few days.
  6. CBTC is a form of PTC. LIRR uses its own form of ACSES and ATC.
  7. Little Neck is 20 minutes from QV... Stengel is far closer to QCM.
  8. For the proposed Q88, would Casey Stengel be a more logical option over QV?
  9. Diesel order contract has not been awarded yet and it’s not confirmed Jamaica will be getting anything from it.
  10. TA queens isn't getting anything new until it's time to retire the 2011 LFS so it's very possible Jamaica and QV will be full nova for a few years.
  11. If they do have enough extra buses in the whole system I wonder if they would stick with their fleet uniformity plan and try and convert Jamaica to full nova and keep QV as full nova. Personally I think it’s a terrible idea to keep fleet uniformity with QBR as I doubt there would be enough extra novas.
  12. Looking at the plan, it looks like QBR calls for a lot of extra buses than they currently have right now. Curious to see how they play this one out without cutting service. Where do you think the proposed Q45 will be based out of? It no longer goes via Jamaica ave so the relief point outside of QV depot has to be axed and deadhead from QV to LIRR Little Neck is approximately 20+ minutes.
  13. QV is too far from QCC and too far from Forest Park
  14. Wouldn’t be a bad idea. If the Q73 does stay intact in the final plan I wonder what depot it would go to. Stengel seems like a logical answer.
  15. Length still matters and I it's a very tight space...
  16. The 88 should just stay the same. No point of it being extended to LNP. Just makes everything worse
  17. The 75 shouldn’t even end at QCC. It should end at Little Neck. QCC is way too overserved for a community college and those Q30 short turns carry air at QCC outside of school dismissal hours.
  18. QV has nothing to trade out in favor of the Q27 and as transitman stated, artics will not do well in the QCC loop.
  19. The Q27 in its current form cannot be articulated because Queens Village Depot doesn't have the space for articulated buses.
