  1. Finally I'm ready to finish this : After the redesign things haven't been the best after it got rerouted down to Pelham Pkwy, (feel welcome to correct me if I'm wrong) to help w/ that bad frequency of the W60/W61 of Bee-line down there. People have noticed that this bus the bus is performing worse some even say that it carries air personally I just got onto Mta Bus time and have done this before when I look I do see buses carry what is close to air as in 3 to 10 passengers but then I sometimes see a good amt. like 21,30,42, etc. Everyone's solution is to extend the Bx30 Fordham and have the W60/61 closed door personally seeing that the Bx30 carries a decent amt. at times I don't see this as a big problem if people have a problem with trips that carry air we can just make the Bx30 a little less frequent. Bx37(New): I proposed this new route after hearing complaints about bad service to Baychester honestly I was thinking about running a Bee-line route down there maybe the W40 or even reroute the W53 either of them can go there from 241st. Then I came up with another idea and this way more transit service gaps get served. What I would do is start this route at Woodlawn (Katonah Av) with the Bx31/34 then have it go up Kimball av to make a turn on to Wakefield Av to not Just serve 241st but also the then it would continue straight to go to Baycheter Av. To sum it up: Bx37: Woodlawn (Katonah Av) - Baychester Av /: Personally looking at the two routes I honestly like them. The only problem with the two routes is I don't like how similar they are and there should be an SBS down the corridor. Honestly Mystic Transit proposed to make the Bx42 an Sbs which I don't agree with the Bx40 is more straight forward then the Bx42 so I'll give sbs service to that route instead. To make things more simple I would also rename the to the Bx40A I mean there's A variants already in the system (hell even B variants as well). To sum things up: Bx40: now an sbs Bx42 now the Bx40a Bx51(New): I came with this idea for 2 reasons 1(north of the Bx41 on Gunhill rd there's a service gap up Webster Av) 2(Bee-line proposed for the W26 to be deleted). Now honestly who could lame them people don't utilize transit in those areas like crazy but honestly the walk from Bronx River Rd - Kimall Av can be an unfriendly walk in some areas. what I would do is connect both corridors. I would have this new Bx51 start at the Mount Vernon West RR station. To go down Bronx River Rd and continue into Webster to Terminate at Gunhill Rd /. I would run the thing up to Cross County but with the new W105 proposed to serve there which I support (unlike the W20's presence there which should be back at Bedford Pk ) but I could use the Bx51 at Cross county to lose up crowding on the W105 placing me in a dilemma. As that is what the W26 is used mainly for (Hell I took the W26 from Cross County to 238thst). I only saw one person come from Bronxville as people got on at Cross County and even the Mount Vernon West RR . To be fair that was off-peak. To sum up my two options. Bx51: Mount Vernon West RR - Gun Hill Rd or 2. Bx51: Cross County - Gun Hill Rd .
  2. The Bx11 is 50minutes or more as it is it can take an extension if it’s a problem I don’t mind running limited service along the route I would definitely run short turns at the hub The bx27 can have artics equipped on the route. After doing some math it shouldn’t end up beings any more than an 1 hour and 15 minutes
  3. Here is a list of things I would do w/ the Bronx buses along with a fair explanation for most of them why; //: The thing with these two routes is how annoyingly similar the two routes are I mean if the Mta wanted them to be that similar they could have called the Bx2: the Bx1A (Idea from Mystic Transit). Another Idea I have is what if the Bx2 gets rerouted to follow the Bxm3 on Vancortlandt Park Av (South and West) to 242nd st this give a better one-seat opportunity between parts in the Bronx. I also think that Concourse should receive an SBS service to phase out the limited Bx1 the Bx2 can also get rid of the local Bx1. To finalize what I'm saying: Bx1(SBS): W231st- Concourse Bx2: Vancortlandt Park W242nd - Concourse /4A/: the Bx4A continues to be crowded from Parkschester to Westchester Sq while the Bx4 tanks out at Parkschester this is why I think that the Bx4 should be rerouted on Metropolitan Av and have the Bx4A deleted. Last of all I would have the Bx11 extended on Westchester Av (This idea also comes from Mystic Transit). To sum it up: Bx4: The Hub - Westchester Sq (via Metropolitan Av) Bx11: Westchester Sq - Washington Hts : extended to Bay plaza as a most time service. /: extended to Lga (there's no explanation needed) I'm not the first person to propose this but I've been thinking about this for a long time. /: For whatever reason the tends to have a weird terminal in my opinion my first thought was to have it end at Westfarms Sq but the Bx36 serves there then I chose to stole another Idea from Mystic Transit to combine the with the at 169st to give a one seat ride to the heights. But wait there more another thing I was thinking is how Transit b/w NJ and New York city is Bullshit I would even extend this route into New Jersey to the GW Plaza. Lastly for the I would completely change to the point that you'd think it some new route with the Bx27 extension the Bx35 can't go to the heights that's were the bus gets exetended to Westfarms /then reroute it to visit the Long Island city from Westfarms Rd and Home St joining the Bruckner Expwy. : Soundview Ferry - GW Plaza (Ends at GW heights on weekends) : Westfarms Sq / - Long Island City, Queens. This is to be continued
  4. These proposals are for the IRT only because I don't use the Subway that much most of the proposals listed are going to be stuff I've heard from other people. rush hour express service extended to kings plaza down Flatbush Av Extended to Burnside Av via Jerome after 161st-Yankee stadium (Continues going to New Lots) Extended to Kings Plaza down Utica Av Rerouted to New Lots Av Extended to Secaucus Junction, NJ with a stop at the Lincoln Harbor (purple) replaces to go to New Jersey Extended to 2nd Av with a stop at Bryant Park. Don't forget to give feedback as someone who doesn't know the Subway well I can learn more this way on how the Subway should work.
  5. Okay so I was watching videos of old pictures of Yonkers and found that there used to be a train 🚊 that ran above Yonkers av. I did some research to find out that there was this train that connected other parts of Yonkers and the county to various places like Boston, Albany and ended at 155st. https://myyonkers.wordpress.com/2011/06/17/bryn-mawr-park-station-old-put-line/. This had me wondering what would happen if we had a light rail 🚈 through were some of those tracks used to be. It doesn’t even need to be that rail line used to be. Any idea of how light rail 🚈 can work in westchester
  6. How did it do the Bxm4c wasn’t people complaining earlier about normal seated buses on the route.
  7. Does anyone know what’s going on with the redesign. Haven’t heard anything since the recommended redesign map.
  8. So I can’t compliment some one post and ask what something means because I don’t understand what he’s saying. If you read what I responded you’d realize I didn’t want any sort of bull shit whatsoever complimented what he said and ask what he means. I had those long and piont less arguments when I was newer to the transit forums
  9. Ok I searched it up and found that it means something we’re you park to get a ride on something like a bus or train. So you were trying to say that you don’t like the idea of people parking along or near central avenue to get a ride on the bxm4c
  10. Oh my, goodness thank you so much for this post I just realized that there's not much demand for express buses running from Westchester to Manhattan. Honestly I feel like transdev likes to overdo a lot when it come to route they run the Hudson Link and look at all the redundancies that run within that company. Just to look at how stupid there Nassau to Manhattan proposals where just imagine what they'd have in store for Bee-line. I wouldn't say making more Westchester- Manhattan routes would end being a waste of money I'd rather say it depends on where you put it like if you put another one at Yonkers (like what I use to want) that would be dumb because the Bxm3 is enough and the Bxm1/2/18 are at the border. If I put it somewhere like New Rochelle that might work out. But knowing transdev they will do something stupid like what we see with H03/5 which honestly needs to be one route which is what I think would happen if they operated Bee-Line. I don't know exactly what your trying to say about the Bxm4c but if I were to guess your saying that an express bus from Westchester to Manhattan shouldn't cover Central Av but why.
  11. The fact that they want to use normal seated buses to replace the Orion V suburbans is pure crazy.
  12. I honestly don’t want it to be another newflyer exelcior that replaces this fleet or else I’ll leave westchester. A 100% new flyer xcelcior fleet would make bee line feel less interesting in my opinion
  13. So I the Orion V suburban buses are getting replaced by the xde40’s
  14. Why the hell is this a thread why can’t we wait until all the old gen’s retire
  15. These barriers are utterly bull shit. Yes it may be a little more safe, but I think we can all agree the Mta needs to find something better than just metal yellow barriers blocking parts of platform.
  16. Are these new xde40’s supposed to be the suburban configuration because the routes that you said there on are usually assigned to the Orion V suburban.
  17. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=l2SNq9lH7no&pp=ygUMYmVlIGxpbmUgYnVz Video of Xde35 100 on the 61
  18. It's 100-110 I thought it was 101 - 110 but then i heard that 100 was ordered
  19. Would it make more sense to put the on Third Av or Webster
  20. I was thinking about this proposal lately and thought of a way to handle the demand for the line in the Bronx vs across 125st. Why not have the cross 125st to meet the on the other side of 125st And have the go into the Bronx to end at Fordham but my problem is would it make more sense to put on 3rd avenue or Webster
  21. Thank you so much. I don’t know why people want the Bx41 to serve LaGuardia rather than the Bx15. If the Bx15 goes there it can receive a decent ridership boast.
  22. Thanks for letting me know anyways we have the Bx15 we can extend that.
  23. If I made the Q50 select would it be faster than the Q44
  24. I have been thinking to myself about the Bronx- Queens routes the Q50 and Q44 I wasn't sure if I should bring up my proposal for this because of how controversial it can be, but then I thought maybe I should bring it up and see what people think. 1. Mta originally wanted the Q44 to be extended to fordham of coarse we know that this would be long as shit so they canned this proposal. But there's definitely good demand from Queens to Fordham so I thought why not have the current Q44 and Q50 switch terminals in Queens so then the Q44 won't have to be that long. Just to finalize what I'm trying to say: Q44: Flushing - Fordham Q50: Co-op City- Jamaica 2. Bx15 can be extended to Laguardia plus it serves more of the bronx than the Q50 does making a better candidate to go there.
