  1. Why would you eliminate the B7. Doesn't it see use by people who use the bus to get to school. You're just going to add more Yellow Buses
  2. Corruption plays a huge factor thanks to politics. This is why projects in this city end up being placed on hold or stalled. In Europe, China, Japan, and South Korea rail projects are completed with a quarter to half of the cost of these inflated projects and take less than 10-20 years to complete.
  3. Explain the M7s. All of them are easily flammable and the most unreliable fleet that Long Island & the Metro North Railroad has had in the past two decades. Railcars that aren't even built from stainless steel just some LAHT Carbon Steel that the TA used for the New Techs. The MTA phased that metal out along time ago after the order of the R30s and the Redbirds then went back to it.
  4. No it's because of the quality that they were made from. No railcar is perfect though the older ones are more reliable than their counterparts due to the metals they were made from. You could request a FOIA document of every railcars's specification including the body shell. We are only going off of whatever information Wikipedia could thankfully give us.
  5. Thats some bullshit. The worst of NJTs fleet are the PL42ACs. It is so bad that almost all of them are broken and have bugs in their software. Almost all of them are going to be phased out early by the new ALP-45DP locomotives in the last 9 years for them with only 10 PL42ACs remaining in service. I wonder which division they will go. I know it's definitely not going to be the Southern Division/Pennsy because the Raritan line doesn't want them. Most likely it’ll stay with the Main, Bergen County, & Pascack Valley Lines for a while.
  6. You're mad that I'm debunking the bs that you are saying. Long Island will not give their trackage to anyone else because they are an independent railroad company from Metro North, NJ Transit Rail Operations, & CT Rail.
  7. Did you forget about the Empire Corridor a corridor that Amtrak owns from New York City to Niagara Falls. The Metro North Railroad doesn't even own most of the Hudson Line. Amtrak & CSX do and lease it to Metro North for repairs and maintenance.
  8. The 4 is worse compared to the 5 it's always cramped at 149th Street–GC, 161st, Fordham Road, & Mosholu Parkway.
  9. That's exactly what I was stating cut and cover with an expanded platform and mezzanines like 179th Street or Parsons Blvd on the or Hoyt–Schermerhorn Streets on the & Trains
  10. I originally intended it to go via Bergen Street it would turn southeast on Liberty Avenue then using a possible viaduct on 101st Avenue splitting the H into two branches Rockaway Blvd Branch and a Jamaica Branch later on I scrapped those ideas because they parallel the & Trains
  11. The Jersey Arrows are Stainless steel and they performed well for over 40 years with no problems to this date. Most of it has to do with the lack of nearby maintenance facilities on the NEC and the Main NJT facility's maintenance care.
  12. The M9s are just a copy of the M7s just with the small destination signs and nobody knows what metal they are made of. I know it isn't a heavy duty metal.
  13. The Newark/WTC line is a 13.7 mile route plus it would lead to congestion at Grove Street & Journal Square if they started to short turn Newark bound Trains.
  14. That's why they should have keep the PA-4s around incase that were to ever happen. But no New York wanted modern cheap broken ass trains and they got what they wanted. This is coming from a NYer who knows most of America's Trains & plenty of buses/light rail too.
  15. Oh I have an answer to that extend the 4 Train to Broadway Junction that is the more realistic idea compared to a fantasy Utica extension.
  16. That was my idea along time ago. Things change.
  17. Corruption is one factor as to why the costs are high including the mezzanines and elevators. Instead of going the simplified way. The MTA wanted to cut corners for their prices of these four stations. Now all of them look like shit anyways and Lexington Avenue/63rd Street looked much better than it's shitty overhaul that makes it another cramped, dirty & generic modern looking station in the New York City Subway. I mean how many people use that station compared to Lexington Avenue/53rd Street. 1/3rd of those people unload/xfer at that Lex Ave-63rd compared to Lexington Avenue-53rd Street which alot of them demand express service to this day.
  18. Metro North doesn't own all of their trackage. Most of it's owned by Amtrak which owns the NEC and the EC.
  19. It's not going to happen Long Island is not willing to cut their service on behalf of Amtrak invasive policies. LI has more issues than you think. You want to add another one in there, Sure LI is totally willing to accept that.
  20. Light Rail is mostly a scam. It should only be used on lightly dense corridors, (The SBK Railway comes to mind) FRA mostly prohibits light rail from using railroad corridors, The same with subway cars which I already know since the PATH is separated from New Jersey Trains & Amtrak from Harrison to Newark. Also Light Rail is required to share a separate ROW away from Subway/Commuter Trains & any other vehicles.
  21. I had a totally original idea to extend the SAS it's only flaw is that it parallels the Fulton Street Line by using the Bergen Street Corridor by being mostly underground and in Queens elevated due to the Water Tables near JFK Airport.
  22. I already know that not everyone in NYC owns cars and at the same time we have plenty of buses being ordered to the MTA by New Flyer and NovaBus themselves and even walking near these new elevators dangerous due to the close proximity to the street. Y'all try to defy physics but when it comes to get you it's a total bitch.
  23. That's some b u l l s h i t the MTA pretended to overuse their assets when they could have started from the existing R named assets that they still have at this time it's ridiculous how they had to raise that shit up by 11.
  24. Nothing is free bro. Taxpayers's dollars go to maintenance and the driver's salary. not some petty bs
  25. What about a B7 extension to Caesar's Bay Mall that wouldn't be too bad if it can run from Eastern Parkway
