  1. I've always thought the N1 should continue down to the center of Hewlett by Bway/West Bway jct. or even turn around by the LIRR sta. instead of terminating at that deadend location of Bway & Rockaway Ave.
  2. What a stupid idea. Turning a one-seat ride into a two-seat ride, esp. carrying packages & shopping bags cramming into paratransit vans.
  3. So-is the N16J still running or has it been killed off also?
  4. Does anyone know how this route is doing,if in fact still running at all?
  5. The N20H does not run non-stop bet. Glen Cove Rd & Bway Mall. The non-stop portion is bet. CW Post & NY Tech due to Brookville nimbyism & safety concerns on Rt. 107.
  6. The old signs used to say "Broome via Ave A" & "Delancey via Ave D"
  7. I've driven Prevost H3-45's through there many times & they're 12'4"
  8. All this will change when Mangano goes to jail. The contract with Veolia is going to be cancelled & the MTA is going to be taking over, funded by the state.
  9. Does anyone have any info on Holbrook Transp or Four Seasons Coach Lines?
  10. The N19,36,45,54/55 will also be eliminated. Also, the Rockville Ctr. depot will be shut down entirely.
  11. How about Bowery Bay & Dutch Kills on Queens map?
  12. There's mistakes on these detours all the time. Must be a bunch of morons that post these.
  13. They should add stops bet. the bridge & the HBLR station. There's businesses & industry there that could probably add ridership.
  14. They're bringing back the 14 & 17, but not the 50? Are they kidding? Who made these decisions?
  15. Northern Blvd & Lakeville/Middle Neck Rd has always been an optional transfer point. Generally to & from the N25,as connections can be missed by transferring at GNRR. It now also benefits pass. transferring bet. the N20G,N20H & N21.
  16. The route(s) you're mentioning from Sayville were run originally by Utility Lines. There was a Sayville-Ronkonkoma & a Patchogue-Centereach-Ronkonkoma(which was taken over, I believe by Holbrook Transp) which is pretty much today's S63 route bet. Patchogue & Smithaven. Utility Lines also had a route from E. Islip to Central Islip (part of today's 3C route).
  17. The S64 (today's S56) used to run from Commack(at Commack Corners shopping center) to Port Jeff. Sta. Before Smithaven Mall was built,it turned left onto Lake Ave to 25A. After the mall opened,it was extended there, then backtracked to Lake Ave. This was an old Coram Bus route that started in the 1950's. They also had a Coram-Smithtown route, but don't know much about that one.
  18. It was the original route # & was today's S56, running from Commack to Pt. Jeff. Sta. via St. James & Stony Brook via Lake Ave & 25A.
  19. What about Franklin Square? There wasn't anything eliminated there.
