  1. No they wouldn't because this was during the AM Rush Hour when the Train runs to/from Bedford Park Blvd. If anything they probably would've had the southbound Trains local from Tremont Avenue to 145th Street if they had to used the center track at 145th Street to turn the Train.
  2. Thats not always the case. A few of the times when the Train ended early, the last train would sometimes Brighton Beach around 8:20 depending on what the G.O actually is.
  3. To be fair the being cut from Queens Blvd almost every weekend until being officially cut in 2010 had to do with the Queens Blvd having tons of weekend G.Os. And a slight correction, the Train being cut from Queens Blvd has happened as far back as 2003. Can't really put that one on Doomsday cuts because the being cut from Queens Blvd really had to do with the line being constantly having to be cut to Court Square due to the ongoing weekend G.Os almost every weekend.
  4. Actually the hipsters are really pissed at him for this decision.
  5. Makes no sense. At least if they did the Full Shutdown, they would've been able to get all of the work done on a single timeline and then get out. Now with the weekends/nights only shutdown it will take way longer and god knows if the structure would/could hold that long. On another serious note, he had plenty of time to do his tour of the tunnel and it bothers me that he waited until the last minute really which is really crazy. And the years of alternative planning and increased subway service on certain routes has seems to have gone into waste.
  6. Forget the dog mural. I'm more disturbed that there's already alot of rust on the tiles and the floors especially when the station just reopened Thursday. The same thing with the 86th Street Station along Central Park West. That also has alot of rust on both the tiles and floors and it looks like it's already going to fall apart.
  7. Those northbound Trains running local on 4th Avenue had nothing to do with the incident. It had to do with work trains traveling on the express tracks.
  8. 3158-3161 and 3166-3169 is in service as of today on the Train. Rode it earlier while heading to the parade.
  9. No its not. They did this G.O a few times last year and a couple of times back in 2013.
  10. I don't think they're storing trains there since there's a G.O having the Trains using the 145th Street Middle Track for two of those weekends (So Far)
  11. TRACK MAINTENANCE Nov 26 - 30, Mon to Fri, from 10:45 PM to 5 AM Service between Bergen St and Stillwell Av in Brooklyn is replaced by trains Trains run between 179 St and Jay St-MetroTech* and via the to/from Hoyt-Schermerhorn. Trains replace the between Bergen St and Stillwell Av. • Transfer between and trains at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station. *Jamaica-bound trains run via the from Jay St-MetroTech to W 4 St during this time.
  12. It's been open during the repairs. It started back in the summer.
  13. Yesterday evening R68 2584-2587 was coupled to a R68A consist (A 5100 Set) deadheading Uptown. The R68A had Train signs btw.
  14. Barclays Specials signed up as Trains hasn't been done since 2014 or so. And plus most times they used its usual R68/R68As and only it was only like two occasions when an R160 was used.
  15. 110th Street was originally supposed to reopen by the end the month. It was never supposed to closed for 8-9 months and basically reopened 3 weeks early.
  16. FASTRACK PROGRAM | Sep 4 - 6, Tue to Thu • Sep 10 - 13, Mon to Thu, 9:45 PM to 11 PM Trains skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St in both directions in Manhattan For 50, 23 and Spring Sts, take the instead instead, which will make these local stops during this time. Transfer between trains at 59 St-Columbus Circle, 42 St-Port Authority, 14 St, W 4 St or Canal St. But yeah I actually agree with you. It makes no sense whatsoever doing that switchero since its not like the Train is going via the Rutgers Street Tube.
  17. FASTRACK PROGRAM | Sep 4 - 7, Tue to Fri • Sep 10 - 14, Mon to Fri, from 9:30 PM to 5 AM Service is rerouted between 59 St-Columbus Circle, Manhattan and Stillwell Av, Brooklyn No service at 7 Av, 47-50 Sts, 42 St-Bryant Pk, 34 St-Herald Sq, B'way-Lafayette St and Grand St. service operates between Norwood-205 St and 145 St, and via the local in Manhattan to/from Jay St-MetroTech, Brooklyn and via the to/from Stillwell Av. trains are rerouted via the express in Manhattan and replace the in Brooklyn between Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr and Stillwell Av. Buses operate between W 4 St and Grand St, stopping at B'way-Lafayette St I have no idea why they're having the Trains local in Manhattan instead of express during the weeknight Fastrack while having the overnight Train express in Manhattan. Would've been perfect sense just to keep have the same setup as they do during the weekend shutdowns. FASTRACK PROGRAM | Sep 4 - 7, Tue to Fri • Sep 10 - 14, Mon to Fri, from 10 PM to 5 AM Trains run express in both directions between 145 St and Canal St in Manhattan For 135, 116, 110, 103, 96, 81, 50, 23 and Spring Sts, take the instead, which will make these local stops during this time. Transfer between trains at 145 St, 125 St, 59 St-Columbus Circle, 42 St-Port Authority, 14 St, W 4 St or Canal St.
  18. No the actual reason is that there's a G.O having all northbound service express on CPW that weekend until 5 AM that Tuesday so opening the southbound side first does sound right in this case.
  19. Southbound service at 110th Street is now scheduled to reopen at noon on Labor while the northbound side will reopen 5 AM Tuesday according to the latest news release. Was kinda not surprised given the fact that they started tearing down the walls a couple weeks ago. http://www.mta.info/press-release/nyc-transit/structural-repairs-functional-enhancements-cathedral-pkwy-110-st-subway
  20. For those wondering, there was in fact actually changes to the tiles at 110th Street. Its now more of a rectangular style rather than the whole squares style like it previously had and it looks like they're adding some artwork or the Zoosk on the platform. And it also looks like they reverted some of the styles back before it went through its first renovation back in pre 1998. Video was recorded on 8/22/2018.
  21. Actually the Northbound side walls were taken down as of last Sunday. Same thing with 72nd Street on the Uptown Side.
  22. Actually the via West End is slower than the via Brighton out of Coney Island.
  23. URGENT SIGNAL REPAIRS | Aug 21 - 24, Tue to Fri, from 9:45 PM to 5 AM Inwood-bound trains run via the from Jay St-MetroTech, Brooklyn to 47-50 Sts and via the to 59 St-Columbus Circle, Manhattan No Inwood-bound service at High, Fulton, Chambers, Canal, Spring, 14, 23, 34 St-Penn Station, 42 St/Port Authority and 50 St.
  24. The Track replacement project has to with the northbound tracks north of Dekalb before the split which is why Trains aren't running between 34th Street and Atlantic Avenue as well as northbound Trains running via the Tube. It has nothing to do with work on the Bridge.
