This is a new one.
Not really. It's been done a few times before. The last time they did it was due to Escalator Work.

It's a glitch in the app, those are 3 trains.
Actually there were a few Trains that did in fact get sent to New Lots Avenue.

URGENT REPAIRS
Mar 27 - 30, Fri 11:30 PM to Mon 5 AM
Free shuttle buses replace trains at 148 St, 145 St, 135 St, 125 St, 116 St, and 110 St
trains run between 241 St and 149 St-Grand Concourse and via the * (express) to/from Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr, then resume service to/from Flatbush Av.
trains run all weekend between New Lots Av and 96 St (express in Manhattan), and via the to/from 137 St.I'm actually shocked that they're not suspending the Train and have the end at 96th Street with the Trains replacing the in the Bronx like they usually would have done it.

Yeah but for a simpler service pattern that would've been the way to do it. Everyone is used to the operating to Manhattan, not the .
Except those Trains going to Brooklyn are actually Train crews.
@Trainmaster5 actually what happened was someone who works the Train was tested positive and as of a result a bunch of those crews are now quarantined which was why for the changes.

Well I was afraid this was bound to happen but sadly a NYC Transit Worker (Conductor) has died from the coronavirus earlier.

Modified Weekday schedule and because Subways are less crowded now.
Nope that's not the reason. A good amount of crews are unavailable because of the virus. Has nothing to do with the reduce ridership.

Exactly. This is an easy way for them to reduce service without hurting too many people.
Notice how no incident is mentioned in the notice.
Apparently this is the reason

Sounds like a planned change
Huge Lack of Train crews is why.

0 R46s left Jamaica since the last update.
Which update? The last update I see is that the 2-3 sets are still at Jamaica.

Um, as best I can find there weren't ANY R-32s on the at all Thursday or Friday, but am unsure about Tuesday or Wednesday. They were definitely roading on Monday of at least four trains (32 cars).
It might already be ovah!
Definitely not true. Spotted one on the Friday heading southbound.

The Culver shutdown G.Os has been postponed. It won't be starting this weekend as originally planned.

Trains Rerouted Posted: 02/29/2020 12:47AM
Coney Island-bound trains are running on the line from West 4 St-Washington Square to Coney Island-Stillwell Av because of a work train experiencing a mechanical problem on the Manhattan Bridge.
For bypassed stations, take a Bronx-bound train.
BTW, this is a lie, and they're running trains down 8th Ave and into Brooklyn. There's a GO making SB and trains run express from Smith-9th Streets to Church Ave, bypassing 4 Ave-9th Street. Go figure.
If you're going by what SubwayTime was saying then take it with a grain of salt. For some reason everytime there's an incident causing the Trains to run via Culver, SubwayTime for whatever reason always has it programmed to run via 8th Avenue when it actually doesn't.

It looks like there will be another 6th av shutdown in the future but the normally runs via the and lines, and the runs via the lines then via the line whenever the 6th av line is shutdown.
Or they could be doing that G.O they did back in 2018 when the ran via the between 59th Street and West 4th Street and via the south of West 4th Street while the Trains run via the between West 4th Street and Coney Island.
FIY there is supposed to be a 6th Avenue Shutdown G.O coming this Spring but I don't think its related to this.

LOL. Someone was bound to say it.
Honestly though the G.O is bound to bring in tons of confusion to riders.

(Deucey was here) just because you work for the doesn’t make you a god. You’re still basically Governor Cuomo’s yes man at the end of the day.
You’ll see when the R32s are fully retired soon enough. Lol. I’ll wait.
Not for nothing but was it neccessary to use the N word over this?

Does anyone know why there are two trains to Bay Parkway via West End right now?
One is at 62nd Street and the other is at 23rd Street sandwiching a train to Atlantic-Barclays in between.
Because of the G.O having no trains running between Atlantic Avenue and Prospect Park. Those Trains are scheduled layups at Coney Island Yard which is why they're running to Bay Parkway.

Two sets of R68s are currently on the as well as an R68A anc one of the last Alstom R160 sets left at Coney Island Yard.

Yeah, but they stopped having those Rock Park s end at 59th in the AM Rush (and start at 59th in the PM Rush) about 8 years ago though (last time was 2012). Combined with more modern technology as time went on, including electronics, countdown clocks, and the MTA Subway Time app.
In the AM Rush, they head straight up to 207th Street and remain in service in general the rest of the day.
You're wrong on the first part. Those northbound Trains from Rockaway Park stopped ending at 59th Street in 2004 when the Manhattan Bridge Project was over and were extended to 168th Street and/or Dyckman Street. Beginning sometime in 2013 those trains were extended to 207th Street and they had select Trains from both Far Rockaway and Lefferts end at 168th Street and/or Dyckman Street instead which made perfect because those Trains are the overnight crews finishing up their run.
The southbound Trains that went to Rockaway Park did start service at 59th Street except for the last one which started in service in Dyckman Street until the middle in the summer of 2012. I remember there was certain reasons why it was changed to have those trains start Uptown instead of 59th Street.

If memory serves correctly, the did have R46s, R42s and R160s at this point before the brown M was orange.
No it didn't. The R160s on the didn't start until the Spring 2010. The R42s from Jamaica Yard were already retired by that December of 2009.

So far, if the R32s are only for the , positive thing is that the C/R's have the seat going over long minute stops, bridges or express branches.
There was an R32 set on the yesterday. They have been running just about 1-2 sets on the Train the last few days.

Planned Subway Service Changes
in New York City Subway
Posted · Edited by Daniel The Cool
You're actually wrong on the and Trains. The Train is on 12-15 minutes headways with occasional gaps and the Train is on 30 minutes headways.
On a bombshell note, Trains are now running as shuttle between Metropolitan Avenue and Myrtle Avenue now which isn't surprising.
