17071/17080 moved to Ironbound, apparently they are short buses. But that resulted in egg harbor putting Nabis out on mci lines again today. We was supposed to have all 50 of the decamps and now know one knows what’s going on. We down a lot of buses with the decamps needing more work then thought. Doesn’t affect my pay so idc 🤷🏾♂️. 17084 looks as if it’s never coming.
They stopped meadowlands from going down to Wildwood back in 2020. They used to do the and 830am trip to Cape May then dhd back to AC and pull the 5pm to NYC. Then on sat/sun they did Wildwood Exp or Ocean City Exp, and Cape May Exp to NYC local to north wildwood. By 2020 they only had a Sunday trip that left the garage at 1045am and did the 115 cape may express to nyc. Then discontinued.
It’s a nice ride, all your doing is going in and out of the islands via the parkway. Only island you served fully was Ocean City/Avalon/Stone Harbor. Summer its busy and fall/winter it’s dead and boring. Register you would setup 1-37 or 39 if going to cape may.

This is a real silly question, a route not serving Philly does not dictate that it shouldn’t have a low 400 series number. This lines used to service Philly before the cuts to Camden. No need to change the numbers.
Funny enough Howell honestly has no say, it all comes down to Penn Plaza, if they say those lines are to go there then they will. And it make sense being Howell is so close and it give those guys more work especially on weekends. Right now Hamilton Garage is operating the lines.
Njt always orders bus with a low spare factor. Most garages don’t have a spare factor. Njt banks on the garages maintenance can get buses turned around quickly. Howell is the only garage with more then 100 or more buses available for spares(on weekends) as they only need about 62 available on weekends. They also bank on callouts which frees up buses as well. CMF can do an engine swap in 2-3days(3-4ppl)while Washington Twp takes 80hrs(1 person). So Twp now has to send any engine swaps to cmf.
Those south Jersey Nabis are only temporary. Academy is only helping out until njt gets enough man power hired. A lot of the one bus guys have to leagally go through the hiring process and must complete the 21 day training. Unfortunately most of the A&C were njt ops that was fired.
17101 Egg Habor
They are using Ironbound as a test bed for the heating and a/c before they send them down. As we are having problems with failing a/c due to tons of rusted parts.
