  1. I don't get the reason behind S79 SBS if off board fare collection isn't implemented.
  2. I had 5698 yesterday for my second half on the beach run and WOW that DD50 EGR pulls hard!!
  3. Gun Hill's logo is actually my all time favorite.
  4. Damn you guys are lucky I can't even get a damn safety vest let alone a depot sticker and I work here smh.
  5. ahhhh man TwoTimer you've got me even more excited to take the next T/O promo test.
  6. I am so shocked....the DOT has repainted the white strip on the bus lanes at Fordham Rd.
  7. 5810 is now at KB from WF its on the Bx9 as I type this.
  8. 5702 has joined 5705 at GH from KB....after seeing 5702 in service on the Bx12 today the decal scheme has grown on me...I still prefer the white back paint scheme but I can somewhat tolerate the decal lol.
  9. You know a Q44 split between CS and WF wouldn't be a bad idea IMO. Lucky you man, every time I want to ride one there are none in sight.
  10. Luckily I had 5920 last night on the Bx9....I noticed that acceleration is much more smoother (slower ). However, there is no chatter when coming to a complete stop like the 577x's. All in all I prefer the 59xx series. Looks like it...and it's ahead of schedule as well. 5936-5967 – West Farms (31) (Aug-Oct 2012) Replace EOL Buses & Send Earlier Allotment to Kingsbridge
  11. A fellow Operator just pulled out 5900 from KB this may just be a temp move as this past Thursday our 5770's dropped like flies because of the heat.
  12. Very sure lol. After it crosses the first bridge and gets on to Broad Channel they would fly (this was about 10 years ago)
  13. I don't know if it has changed since a while back but b/w Howard Beach and Broad Channel S/B those R-38 's would easily hit 50-51mph.
  14. Not quite sure what's going on but the majority of the Museum fleet is at MJQ right now parked on the roof.
  15. I find the RTS seats to be the most uncomfortable (there's actually a D60hf with one in it; 5502...that one is on my avoid list lol). Every other model in the fleet has Recaro seats...unfortunately some of them have seen better days I especially hate the ones that lean to one side smh lol -- Regarding the LFSA's they will get louder in time the 1200's sound a lot louder than they did when first delivered. I had 5778 today and along with quite a few other 5770's you can hear the BOV from turbo going off now unfortunately its not as loud as the sound produced by the Orion V CNG's.
  16. Just imagine how it is on an LFSA when they have to sit a mile away and your boxed in lol
  17. Wow, I can't imagine a NG that's slow. Every NG I've encountered hauls ass.
  18. ahhhhhh as SevenEleven stated...that is the sound of the turn signal indicators. I've grown so immune to the sound that sometimes I may forget to take my foot off the turn signal switch lol...the LFSA's have the sound too but it is much louder and is more like a click-clack, click-clack.
  19. Hmmm I have no clue about what sound your talkinng about. Any sound clips?
  20. Wow, that is crazy! I would have thought that with the take over the TA would have absorbed the property as well.
  21. hmmm, might be cause they're gonna be retro fitted with the automated announcements?
  22. Some ops use it interchangeably but the bulletin states that when operating a bus that is in non-revenue service only , "Not In Service" may be displayed on the destination sign...If some superintendents feel like breaking balls they could hand out violations for those "code breaking" on pull-in trips.
  23. LMAO! -- sad to say...but when they get the Cummins transplant they won't be as loud anymore
