Not uncommon for someone who drives/works in a borough that isn't the one they live in. I might not know all the connections out in Brooklyn but I'm always learning something new!
Totally agree with this. Most people don't think before they go all up in arms about a bus not showing up or being late in general.
Most people don't ride a bus from one end to the other. Most won't see where problematic areas are, or they won't know about that car crash that's got a particular intersection jacked up. Buses are always going to be late. Sometimes there isn't a driver to cover a run if someone has to call out. It happens. Yes, people are going to wait double the headway (or even longer as I've experienced during the worst of this pandemic- you see some real angry people.) for a bus, and they won't care but to tell you that they've waited X amount of minutes for a bus.
The bus wash is currently being upgraded at the depot (definitely needs it), there's only one wash unit available right now. But, the reason why the rims are as dirty as they are is more due to the brake dust that accumulates. I've seen rims get replaced and the ones that do get pulled off the buses are so blackened on the inner part that it looks like it's been painted! It's pretty interesting to see.
The police don't really bother you if you're on the beach or the sand. I've been out there at 3-4 in the morning catching the breeze. Just don't get in the water.
Even with the articulated buses they could get pretty packed if buses were delayed due to traffic on Church Ave. Happened to me coming down the line a handful of times. I usually get turned around at Kings Highway if it was really bad.

It's crazy seeing little traffic on Flatbush Avenue, I bet those B41 paddles have too much time in between points to be a straight shot, same deal with the B43- normally it's a damn struggle to stay on time on Sundays but the past few weeks have been such a breeze you have no options but to slow it down to avoid getting yelled at.
They killed the B16 and B37 for a day. Those of us who interlined with the 16 or 37 were sidelined for that part of our runs. I wonder why that was done sometimes too.
Also in Brooklyn, everything is running on a Sunday schedule (everyday!), plus there are no reliefs being done on the road. If you get relieved, you gotta finish the route and pull in. If you relieve someone, you gotta make a pull-out from the depot.
I hated riding the suburbans from QCC some days. The buses weren't meant to handle so much people. Getting off was a chore if you were seated far from the doors. I would avoid them if the crowd going to Flushing was big...
It's LIKELY but when I was fitted I got my shipment in batches since certain items were not in stock. Everything was the right size but I didn't get the right caps.
