  1. Wow. Can't believe it been 10 years since this worldwide hit was first played. This was no doubt the theme to summer holiday season of 2001. Here the infamous 'i got high' the PG-13 version by Afroman.:cool: Not meant for young kiddies.
  2. Here a classic from the early '80's. It's "New Edition" featuring the future Mr. Whitney Houston aka Bobby Brown as a 12-13 year young teen. Man they sound so much like the Jacksons LOL. In sense they set the ground for the 'modern' boy bands from new kids to n sync and future ones. Here a rare extended 'album' version. It's ok to dance to this one lol.
  3. Just saw this film again for the first time in years recently. Here the theme to great early 1980's film "officer and a gentlemen' 'up where we belong' by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes.
  4. Oh yes. This was played to death at the nightclubs/sportsbars i went to during the spring/summer of 1995 as a senior in undergrad college . Now a pop/country/southern rock 'classic.' Hootie and the Blowfish "Let Her Cry" "Only Wanna Be You" with an ESPN Sportscenter theme. Back when ESPN was great.

Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra version John Fogerty at Wrigley 2006 or '07 And for laughs among the worst versions ever of it. First By Mr. T done in 2009.   6. Good choice:tup:. About a decade later (after the Bowie/Queen song was released)Vanilla Ice released "Ice Ice Baby.' The fool Vanilla Ice tried to deny he sampled 'under pressure' and yet had to settle out of court when Bowie/members of Queen sued. FYi. Freedie Mercury was about to soon die after "Ice" was released. Just for comprasion here 'Ice Ice Baby.'

  10. An old school classic. One of the first major 'hit hip-hop' slow jams. Played all over the place in summer 1987. Here a then 'kid' named James Todd Smith known to the world as LL Cool J with one of his early 'joints.'
  11. Oh yes. A great summer song to listen to crusing on the highway. One of the biggest hits so far of his carrer. Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" a remake of the classic rock staple "Sweet Home Alabama".
  12. Jimmy7 i know you only 13-14 years old. Do you like 'older music' i.e songs that came out before the year 2000. Must be getting old that other than Katy Perry and Lady Gaga LMAO I don't know much about today's current music.:eek:
  13. Congrats Subway. Anyhow before MTV back in the '70's and late '60's, music videos as we know them now did not exist. Back then the handful of videos available was usually taped cheesy promo videos of new songs played on then hit music shows like 'American Bandstand' 'Soul Train' and in the UK "Top of the Pops." Instead of an album cover, i guess that poster on youtube was creative and showed the Disney clips instead LOL.
  14. An intresting song from former lead frontman of House of Pain Everlast. A favorite of my brother in law. Here is his late '90's hit "What Its' Like." The clean version.
  15. My last song for night. A classic slow jam from the king songwriter Barry Manilow and his biggest signature hit "I write the songs." Since videos was not yet widespead in the mid '70's here an animated video set to it.

  19. Great choice trainfan. Ollie and Jerry? Oh yes the unoffical 'offical' (if you know what i mean)of the mid '80's breaking dancing movement. Trainfan there other RUN DMC songs out there as well. Maybe try 'my adidas' or even 'walk this way' the duet with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith. Since summer is about to begin here a classic from one of the most succesful girl band in pop music history. They stand up with such legendary American ladies bands like "the go-go's "Diana Ross and The Supremes' and more recently "en vogue' and 'destiny's child.' Here "Cruel Summer.' (Notice the NYC Skyline circa 1983) And for Trainfan "Walk this way.'

  24. Great statement about ELO busfan. Could not agree more. PS ELO actually 'indirectly' did have only one #1 US song. They were 'background' vocals to the hit Olivia Newton-John hit to the flop theme to movie "Xandu.'
