In recent weeks, a couple of MCI's have been seen on the 400/403, but none recently [Newton's 5500s were in use. they seem to avoid the 59-6000s, Why?].  5388 was seen on the 400 on Thursday, are it's brothers 5389-91 down here too?  If they REALLY needs buses, they should put 5230 in service instead of hiding it in the garage.  Why is 5326 at Greenville?  Washington Township needs every CRAPBIs they can get their hands on.

It was posted on here that 5388 was back in south Jersey from Greenville. Also saw 5326 on Greenville's RT 87. I think that was a washington garage bus before.

Yeah the 6 has some weird routing that takes a little longer.

87 line is the worst line from Greenville...in my opinion

Yes all along MLK . The 6 is not that safe of an area either on Ocean ave. I lived on Ocean ave and neptune ave years ago. But the 80 is better along westside ave.

Wow what a hit. I wonder if that can be fixed or its done.

I was checking on mybusnow at the greenville routes in rush hour. The most I counted being out on runs were 47 at 530pm. The middle of the day seems to be about 25 buses out. I know they have 103 buses total so guessing about 20 buses in for service that leaves 36 buses avail. Do they rotate the fleet daily so all are used to spread out mileages ? Or do drivers keep the same bus most of the time ?

As its been beaten to the ground, Coach OWNS their Novas, why are people foaming over the CRAPIs?

 

Anyhow, correct if I'm wrong, but is Greenville garage too short (bus height wise) for a MCI? And if they take an MCI, will they send them to Meadowlands?

Well for parking they can be kept outside across the street in their fenced lot. The nabi's have about a foot clearence at the doors on the front side of the building. The gates ave side has a 12 ft + door. As for nabi's they could be sent to any NJT garage if needed then. Like it or not the nabi's are here to stay.

Not to mention that there's only 37-47 D4500CTHs.....won't do much to retire and shift buses around.

I know this might sound crazy. Since greenville does most of the 126 runs why not give them say 10 40ft mci's and send some nabi's else where like to ONE bus to replace the rts's there.

All NJT Novas out of service, only a few novas can even possibly be brought back into service, one 1400s and two 1300s.

 

The only novas in service as we speak are from Coach USA 1103, 1515, 1521, 1537-1538, 1557-1558...

 

BTW I rode 1558 and saw 1557 both on the 24B...

 

Also..... Is this how the novas are getting retired at coach USA?

 

When the 2016 NJT MCI Hybrid D4000CTHs come in, they will retire most of the old MCI Diesels from 2001-2003, but some old MCIs will be moved up to Coach USA to retire all the novas?

 

That's what a 24 driver told me...

They would need transits at ONE bus to replace the rts's not Mci's.

Greenville has 5241,42,43,49,54 and 56 back also.

Did ALL of the NABI from Fairview go back to Greenville? No one has posted anymore of those moves.

Yes they are all back at greenville. That would put greenville close to 100 buses which is about normal there.

Yeah I saw 6405 on mybusnow doing the 34 too.  That makes sense.  In South Jersey, Washington Twp now has 8273 and 8274 back also, so it looks like things are returning back to the way they were before the Designline Debacle.  

So the bottom line after all the swapping due to the souths bus shortage is that all of Oranges Nabi's that were diverted to other garages are back now so the RTS's can be retired. Greenville got back their 5200's Nabi's from Fairview because they got back their MCI's that were sent south. And Nabi's in the south were sent north since more Mci's are now in the south.  WOW thank goodness that is about over.

Yeah I saw 6405 on mybusnow doing the 34 too.  That makes sense.  In South Jersey, Washington Twp now has 8273 and 8274 back also, so it looks like things are returning back to the way they were before the Designline Debacle.  

Yeah MCI's replacing Nabi's so they can be moved to Orange so the rts's can be retired.

doesn't that mean 2527 and 2528 weren't retired, since I think they have to remove all the livery for them to be sold as scrap, technically they are still A & C or NJTs buses!!!

No buses go to scrap as is most times. Sometimes NJT blacks out the NJTRANSIT . Youtube shows buses with stripes still on being scrapped. NYC buses go to scrap with stripes still on all the time.

Just what I suspected...the NABI suburbans( 5368-5374) were sent back up the Freeway to Newton Avenue in Camden.  All of them were out today on Camden routes as Washington Twp has no more need for them I guess.  I think the 6400s (6403-6409) may have gotten sent to North Jersey, none of them were out today in Camden and the last couple of days I have only seen  6406, 6407 and 6408 on mybus now.  And Washington Twp now has 8272 back now too ( it was on the 406 today). 

I saw 6403 on a Orange garage route. Since they just got all of greenvilles 6410 to 6429  guess they got those also. To replace the last 30 rts's.

Yes retired and 2527 and 2528 had red stripes.

Does anyone know if NJT is still using RTS's on the temp bus rt 95 for the skyway construction? Since Orange just got some Nabi's from Greenville they may not need them any longer.
