  1. I saw an R160 train on the NB 6 Av Express track between West 4 St and Broadway-Laffatye St during the p.m rush today from an train. I wonder how the hell did it end up there
  2. Last time one ran on the was in 2014. Back when Jamaica had R32s, some ran on the .
  3. If they shut down Lenox Av and Clark St, they will probably suspend the all together and run additonal (1)s between 137 St or 96 St to South Ferry. I wont be surprised if the (3)s that end at 96 St before the G.O started would be used on the . If so R142 on the .
  4. Its easier to put R68/As on the than on the since the line runs right next to the C.I shop in which the spares are stored. If you notice the putins are often stored at Stillwell yard since its easier to do a deadhead from there to and from C.I. There are some putins that come from the C.I Yard though. Most of the putins are stored at the C.I yard along with the 3 putins. Thats why even before the came back there were much more daily occurences of R68/As on the than the .
  5. Saw a R68A today heading to the Bronx at 7:00 p.m.
  6. I see late night ridership is very low with the shuttle operating 5 car trains. I can see in the future that the late night service would go to 149 St-GC. shuttle ridership is high compared to the other late night shuttles from what I see since you still have a good amount of people going to Bay Ridge during the overnight hours with a lot of the riders transferring to/from from the . Having the go to Whitehall St is beneficial.
  7. Im hearing once the is shutdown between Queens and Manhattan once SAS opens, they are planning to run additional service between Ditmars Blvd or Canal St/Whitehall St. I see it makes sense since the dosent run on weekends and it would be less confusion.
  8. To allow the C.I yard barn to inspect those trains if needed. It also allows different trains to be swapped everyday.
  9. I wont be surprised if they use a layup on the that weekend. Since, I remember seeing a R68A on the northern during that G.O.
  10. They want Lexington and 7 Av corridors to have at least 15 tph per hour on weekends minimum. Since the isnt running, they beefed service so 7 Av has 15tph.
  11. Remember the to 57 St, I'm hearing that they will be replacing a switch between the express tracks north of 96 St and there will a speed restriction since they will use skeletonized tracks in that area.
  12. The last time the ran R46s was during the derailment in 2015.
  13. The R143s dont need to be on the all time. They are similar to the CBTC R160s. Putting R143s on the provide more felxibity and its easier not to have restrictions on the fleet. If the uses up most of the CBTC R160s and the need a train and R143s are available. They will put them on .
  14. They dont do that because its going to cause a lot of confusion for riders.
  15. About 11 trains. To increase recovery time. The shorter the route and the travel time, the less trains are needed while the longer the route or the travel time, more trains are needed. This is if the headway is the same.
  16. Usually when the get cut back to 137 St, it dosent borrow trains since 137 St yard is sufficient to cover the . 137 St layup tracks can hold 10 trains. If its running only between 96 Street and South Ferry, there is a small chance that an R62 from Lenox may be put into service since Lenox yard is the nearest to the line and the dosent use all of its trains on weekends.
  17. Are there any Moshulu equipment on the this weekend? Just curious.
  18. Its noticeable in the IRT but not for the BMT. One case I can think of was a used a layup when it ran to 2 Av making all local stops.
  19. What other G.Os you can think that will require borrowing trains from other yards lol?
  20. How would the get back to its regular routes if rerouted to Second Av thats just absurb. While the can resume regular route at 47-50 St. Even though it benefits Upper Manhattan riders to get easy access to the East Side, no one in the right mind would take a to Midtown from 125 St when you have which is straight and a 8 minute ride on express.
  21. The sucks on weekends with its current headways. 8 minute headways will be beneficial to the . When the was suspended entirely (2)s ran every 8 minutes and I'm surprised to see packed trains in the Bronx.
  22. Watching Kobes last game. What an epic ending

  23. extension to Broadway-125 St. New Stops: 1, Lenox Av 2, St Nicholas Av 3, Broadway Two Track underground line. extension to Staten Island New Stops: 1, Lillypond Av. 2, Hylan Blvd. 3, Grasmere. Two track underground line with tail tracks.
  24. Also the headways on the and shuttle respectively are every 20 minutes overnight so it wouldn't be an issue.
  25. extension to Queens. 4 track extension to Springfield Blvs via Piktin Av and Linden Blvd. 1, 76 St. Local stop 2, Sutter Av. Local stop 3, Cross Bay Blvd. stop. Track connection to Rockaways line after Cross Bay Blvd. 4, Lefferts Blvd stop. 5, Van Wyck Expressway stop. 6, 147 St stop. 7, Guy R Brewer Blvd stop. Transfer to the train . 8, St Albans Stop stop. 9, 198 St stop. 10, Springfield Blvd stop. Bi level terminal. More proposals to come.
