Q line NOT getting R160s the W is

CIY Overhall shop last time I was there it was a mix of every thing Seen a Few R32 / R 40 SLaints , R 68A, R143, and R 160's. Over 207 YD is mostly R 142 BOMBarder cars.

I hate the R 68A from KAW but I heard CIY messed those trains up by playing around with them after the Warrenty is up and they doing the same thing with the R 142A and R143. The way I see it Kawaski makes a good train but its when NYCT comes in and makes modifications that mess up the train.

 

I agree Dave we all say it"wait until the warranty runs out and car equipment gets a hold of the trains"..

 

Then you see all kinds of crazy stuff.

 

The train dont come here jacked up it gets jacked up something that seems to be lost on some people..

Wow, R160's on the , that's a big surprise! I really hoped to see two routes in summer that are still completely served by slants, the ( and the , but it seems I'll have to focus on the ( now...

Yes, that's quite a bummer... am I right to understand though that the R40 slants will be put out of service train by train and not all of them at once? If so, I might be lucky to catch one of the last slant sets operating in summer...
