motorman2085 0 Posted September 3, 2010 Share #1 Posted September 3, 2010 There are many ways that MTA CEO and management could use to raise money for MTA that they have not utilize. Lets bring up some ideas for them to put their thinking cap on instead of just laying off their workers and claiming to save money so they can get FAT bonuses. Grand Concourse 2,690 Posted September 3, 2010 Share #3 Posted September 3, 2010 Actually I did bring up the 'adopt a station' idea some time ago. But basically it would be a good way to get the 'owners' of their station to clean it up at the very least. For say a corporate sponsor, what they could do is plaster up whatever ads they want, but they keep the station name as is. IE: If McDonalds gets a station, they can't rename it to ''McDonalds 42nd St TS". Not perfect, but at least it would encourage ppl to give a damn about their stations. R32 3348 11 Posted September 3, 2010 Share #6 Posted September 3, 2010 They really should go through with Adopt-a-Station plans. For example, when that new building at Penn Station opens they could sponsor either Penn Station or Herald Sq. and provide money to clean up the station.
