R32 3348 Posted November 7, 2010 Share #27 Posted November 7, 2010 I would do the same thing, especially if I lived in Manhattan where the cost of living is 69 times higher than it is in any other part of the city. $54 would practically be bargain basement, for the purposes of the commuter in the article. The fact of the matter is though that the NYC Subway covers more ground than PATH so that needs to be taken into account as to the fare difference between PATH and the MTA. For what it's worth, people do not know how much of a bargain they are getting with $2.25 as a lot of other smaller systems charge more for less ground covered. jayo Posted November 8, 2010 Share #30 Posted November 8, 2010 Damn, I got pwned. I'll admit it. Ditto. Shit, If I can come home with some PATH videos, some of you can pull a fast one with the photos.... Tsk tsk, I should wash your keyboards out with soap!B) Hey, at least the DC Metro is newer and cleaner than those others! Country: United States City: New York System: New York City Transit Line: IND Rockaway Location: North Channel Bridge Car: R-40 (St. Louis, 1968) Collection of: George Conrad Collection Date: 9/12/1970 Notes: Collision between two R40 trains on bridge. Likely E service as the R40 slants were assigned to Jamaica Yard at the time. From that distance, you can hardly tell that there's a collusion!
