I rode the trolleybusses (Lawerance #81). I lived between the Kedzie and Francisco stops on the Ravenswood line oops Brown line. I could hear the trains leave Kimball and I could run to the Francisco stop in time. I've been a rail and bus fan all my life. when I was born we lived track side on the Howard line (red Line) at the Morse Stop. I remember the North Shore trains running past my bedroom windows.
