Two Queens school bus drivers using phony licenses were busted Thursday as part of a statewide crackdown on the profession following the deadly crash of a casino tour bus in the Bronx.

High-tech facial recognition technology led to the arrests of George Gonsalves, 53, and Emel Marin, 42, on charges of using bogus names and Social Security numbers to obtain commercial driver's licenses, state officials say.

Marin, who was caught while driving a bus for special needs children, was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Both drivers were arraigned in Queens Criminal Court and held on $2,500 bail.

Good! I know of a friend who was in a school bus as a chaperone and sued the company cause the bus driver had no license and was the cause of the accident. These people are scum. They have childrens lives in their hands and are not even qualifed to drive that bus!

If these people werent already employed as MTA B/O's, I'de say they were simply trying to get a stinking job by any means necessary to support their families, as any driver could have endangered the lives of the children with an official license or not. As it is however, they are just even more scum and deserve whatever they get.
