Noflexdont Posted April 5, 2011 Share #5 Posted April 5, 2011 It all about being able to ID due to buses interlineing with each other. for instance at Ridgewood terminal You would have run 34 on the B52 start there first trip as a B54 then run 34 on the B26 also start as B54.the only way you can tell which is which is by there departing time. If buses are not on time it can screw the Dispatchers up. The old system just makes it that much harder when the buses is in view for only seconds. Now for the same scenrio that B52 is run 234 and the B26 is 634 it make it easier to ID. MTA bus has been using this system for a while. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
