metsfan Posted May 19, 2008 Share #1 Posted May 19, 2008 I am going to put all non-(NJT) and non- and non-SEPTA :nec: photos here, including shots of sunnyside yard, freight layups, work trains, stations, and so on, as long as it is not directly (NJT) related, amtrak stuff at trenton, newark penn, new york penn, 30th street, metropark, and any other amtrak owned or scheduled stops or equipment. Thanks for looking in advance!! - Andy

metsfan Posted May 20, 2008 Author Share #4 Posted May 20, 2008 Nice catch with the "amtrak.com" Acela. Yea, i have only seen that one once before. Some of the photos are blurry because the AF decided to look at the window instead of out of it. I have a ton more that i have to upload, and a ton more to take this thursday. Hope you all enjoy them as much as i do taking them! - Andy
Harry Posted May 20, 2008 Share #5 Posted May 20, 2008 Was that an Amtrak cabless unit (looks like 574) that you photographed?
metsfan Posted May 20, 2008 Author Share #6 Posted May 20, 2008 Was that an Amtrak cabless unit (looks like 574) that you photographed? Not that i an remember, i'm pretty sure it is simply 2 types of hood units with cab. I have also seen cowl units hooked to hood units at that same spot heading a tie carrier consist. - Andy

PATCOman Posted May 21, 2008 Share #9 Posted May 21, 2008 Cool pics! Some of them make great guess the location pics.
metsfan Posted May 21, 2008 Author Share #10 Posted May 21, 2008 Cool pics! Some of them make great guess the location pics. That is exactly what i was thinking. If you guys want to guess where each photo was taken go ahead. Photo reposts in the guess post would make it easier, just make sure you only do 1-3 at a time, or simply take out the IMG header and keep it as the plain link. More to come after thursday. If it's a pushed set or EMU i will try to get some video from the front and photos of the stations as they come up. - Andy

Has all kinds of things you might find at a larger station or major terminal just on a smaller scale. It has 2 sidings one with a low level platform. There is also evidence of the station's past importance in the form of many tracks which are now pushed aside and/or overgrown just north of the platform area on the wallenburg ave side. I could spend all day there with my cameras. - Andy
Eastman346 Posted June 20, 2008 Share #13 Posted June 20, 2008 Next time you are at Trenton can you get an outside shot of the entire station?
metsfan Posted June 20, 2008 Author Share #14 Posted June 20, 2008 Next time you are at Trenton can you get an outside shot of the entire station? You mean of the station building? It is a very wide structure and the only good spot to get a shot of the whole thing is probably the nearby parking garage, even then obstructed. Otherwise i do all ready have several shots from the ends of the platforms looking back as well. It isnt in the safest part of the city either so i tend to stick close by or stay inside or on the platforms. - Andy
