Question about Broadway Line

R160

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I'm writing a book on the Broadway line. Currently, I am writing about previous or retired rolling stock.

Can someone give me a quick list of every car that ran on the (N)(Q)(R)(W)? I already have the current rolling stock (R160, R68, R46).

I know that the R32 ran on the (N) and (R), but I'm not sure if the R40/R40M/R42 all ran on the Broadway line or if 2 of them did...or maybe even all three.

I am getting confused with the R40/R40M/R42 and anything before that. (If you're interested in helping a bit more, PM me.)

Thanks to anyone who can assist me.

(N): R32, R40, R40M, R42, R68, R68A, R160

(Q): R32, R40, R40M, R42, R68, R68A, R160

(R): R32, R40M, R42, R46, R160

(W): R32, R40, R40M, R42, R68, R68A, R160

R40: slant (retired

R40M: looks like a R40 but no slant (like the R42, also retired)

R42: what would find on the (J)(Z) now

Add R46 to the (Q) - they were used after 9/11. Additionally, I am pretty sure that the (N) used 46s at one point.

I don't remember that.I know there was an increase in R32's.But i can't recall R46's.If so how many ran?

He said (Q)

Actually.....

Add R46 to the (Q) - they were used after 9/11. Additionally, I am pretty sure that the (N) used 46s at one point.

And for the record, the (N) hasn't seen an R46 since the 1980s, which does coincide with its run to Forest Hills.

The (Q) and (W) used R42s?
