Brooklyn Posted August 20, 2012 Share #1902 Posted August 20, 2012 Let's see: runs in two sections: Broadway Junction to Jamaica Center and Marcy Av to 95 st (on the R line). This is to give commuters access to trains at Jay st. suspended runs in two sections: Forest Hills to Marcy AV (assuming trains are allowed to terminate there) and from Metropolitan Av to Myrtle Av). If trains can't go into Marcy or Myrtle, then Forest Hills to Essex st and Metropolitan to Central.

TheSubwayStation Posted August 21, 2012 Share #1905 Posted August 21, 2012 The planned (P) line (search on Wikipedia) is implemented, running from Jamaica Center to Essex Street, then turning there to Broad Street. (P) TRAIN FOWM on Wikipedia: P (short for Penn Station) was planned for a nonstop between Sutphin Boulevard – Archer Ave (at theLIRR's Jamaica station) and 34th Street – Penn Station, continuing locally to 168th Street, via the BMT Archer Avenue Line, BMT Jamaica Line, Chrystie Street Connection, IND Sixth Avenue Line and IND Eighth Avenue Line (switching to the latter at West Fourth Street) in the 1990s. This would have been used during a threatened Amtrak strike that would have prevented LIRR trains from entering Penn Station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unused_New_York_City_Subway_service_labels
